I was going to do an unfunny lmgtfy post of "Ghosts", but the first result is actually for COD Ghosts.noiseredux wrote:man, I don't know much about it - but Ghosts looks really fascinating to me.

Re: CoD/Battlefield discussion thread
I've only spent an hour or so with it, but I'm already pretty sure that the dog stuff makes COD:Ghosts the best COD ever.
That said, this games is also a good argument about the small advancement between last gen and this for most launch titles - the PS4 version looks largely like a really nice PS3 game, though some scenes (like an early one in space) stand out as prettier than what I ever played of the series on last-gen systems. It's kind of like how COD2 looked only marginally better on the 360 at launch than some of the other COD games looked on previous gen systems (OMG smoke!) and not up to par with it's PC port. Thinking about the advancements in visuals from COD2>Ghosts on the 360 makes me optimistic for where the series may go (visually) on this new gen of hardware

The dog stuff as you put it is just a minimal segment of the whole campaign.
Anyway seems both games are major disappointments.

Ghosts is, yes, but BF4 is generally considered to be BF3.5 with a somewhat better campaign. I don't see how that's a "major disappointment."Pulsar_t wrote:The dog stuff as you put it is just a minimal segment of the whole campaign.

I've now spent more time in the Extinction mode for COD than the campaign. Haven't touched standard MP. Extinction is soooo fun...

Enough with the foreplay, we all know BF is aiming to be the combined-ops version of Cod.

Re: CoD/Battlefield discussion thread
I have been playing Battlefield regularly since Bad Company 2 and irregularly since 1942.
Part of the appeal to me is the time in between titles, I hate buying a COD game, playing it for a few months then the sequel is announced, it gives me a feeling like "why bother with the multiplayer", at least with BF you get a couple years our of it.
A bigger issue is, Battlefield 4 is plagued with bugs and issues right now, imagine if they released one a year, I understand different teams, but DiCE are an amazing dev and they are having issues with the time frame.
If they decide to do this, I would probably decide to start sitting out form the series.

Re: CoD/Battlefield discussion thread
So I am about 3/4 of the way through Ghosts' campaign and I'm enjoying it a good deal - not sure what the hub bub is about, honestly. It is on par with if not better than the MW campaigns, and already I've put in a good 6-7 hours (there are like 18 chapters in total). Anyone else here like it?
