. Haven't seen the multiplatform thing on this page, and your post didn't reference it, so I really didn't have any idea where you were coming from. I mean your post was basically out of context, since it seemed like the convo had moved past that point. :P

And about the exclusives thing, you understand that it's purely a matter of personal taste right?
I wasn't aware. I thought when I said "I think" it meant that I was stating a universal fact.
Though one could argue that both the 360 and Wii suck cause their line of exclusives cater to very specific tastes in games (each to their own hardcore audience)
huh? You could make that argument that any game caters to very specific tastes because every game does.

:? Why wouldn't you count them? I also disagree with that statement, I think the best exclusives from 360 and PS3 are just as good if not better than the best Wii's exclusives. Wii has them beat on quantity, but I dont think their games are any higher quality.
Arguably, many of the best games of this generation are cross-platform with the PS3 and 360:

Dead Space series
Bioshock series
Dark Souls (and the upcoming Dark Souls 2)
Darksiders series
Mass Effect series
Batman: Arkham series
F.E.A.R. series
Fable series
Fallout series
Elder Scrolls series
Final Fantasy series

...And the list goes on and on. These are mostly landmark titles, and regardless of whether they're cross-platform or not are pretty important games. I think it's fantastic that you can choose which system you want to play these games on and I don't think it detracts from the consoles at all. The Wii would be very hard-pressed to come up with a similar list of quality games (though there are many on the system) that are not first-party titles.

May I point out that there's a new Ninja Turtles game for wii? Granted, it is a multi-platform release, but I think that's still pretty good for a "dead" console.

Watch them chuck a foot soldier at the screen a la Turtles in Time.

I should point out that Fable is cross platform between PC and 360, it never came out for the PS3.

All those games except FF are also on the PC. And I don't think FF XIII and its sequels can be considered gaming gems :lol:

Of course that doesn't mean anything. It probably makes the PS3 or 360 a better choice of console to own, since you are getting all the main games. But for people like us who own a ton of consoles, most of the time it's about unique gaming experiences, not the average gaming experience you'll be getting everywhere.

This can go back and forth, everyone has their favorites in games and as well as systems.

Not only exclusives, but cross platform games should also be considered for a particular console. As ZeroAX pointed out, context should always be considered, not just assuming its the same game by just the title. Dead Space for example is an entirely different game on the Wii. Other cross platform games also might be better or worse on a given console with extra levels, graphic and sound capabilities as well as control options.

As I mentioned earlier, the motion control option of a Wii cross platform game is not always a negative. I like the instant aiming of the Wiimote for FPS games in which Sony and Microsoft played catchup, though I prefer traditional controls over the flick to hit or jump for platform style games.

There is also the over priced Angry Birds Trilogy release for the consoles including the WiiU and even the Wii recently. It has bad reviews, but am curious how it fares with the Wiimote. Maybe "flick at it" when it goes below twenty bucks?

But... CAVE :!: :!: :!:

360 at least beats out the ps3 imo. All those NIS rpgs are nice, but there are over a dozen Cave ports on the 360, and all of them but 2 are exclusive, one of those 2 being vastly superior to the point of practically being exclusive.

I know this doesn't matter if you don't like CAVE, but I still think its a very big mark in its favor.

For being so overpriced you'd think they'd bother to update their ad with the newest 360 version, and one of two PS3 designs which we've had since 2009.

@ZeroAX

You can't count PC in, simply because I do not count PCs as a console competitor. People who discuss buying 360 or ps3 are just way more than people who discuss buy ps3 or PC. Plus a gaming PC is way out of range in price, I believe you can get a PS3 for $250 but a gaming PC would cost you at least $500 (At least thats what I have been told, not to mention price of the Windows) . Also a PC is not usually to be hooked to your TV , and uses keyboard and mouse. Sure you can modify it to work in a TV setup, but I am guessing PC gamers are very different from console gamers.

There are a lot of ps3 exclusive that are worth while:
- Beyond: Two Souls -Demon's Soul -Heavy Rain -God of War -Puppeteer -Little Big Planet -Killzone -Infamous -Folklore -GT

I dunno I feel those are just more worthwhile than Zack and Wiki, Red Steel, and Elebits. Of course we will always have the Mario platformer and the Mario Kart, but I am really looking at those as a negative not a positive because I am tired of the no new IPs but thats my opinion.

@girlracer

when you so cheaply priced games, how cheap? give me a number
