Thanks everyone. I can now play damn near all the Lucasarts adventure games on my iMac!

For Tie Fighter you could try Crossover Mac (not free unfortunately. It does have a 30 day trial though.)

OR Parallels Desktop or VMWare Fusion. (These two aren't free either, but also require a Windows 98 setup disc as well! Plus Parallels has a 15 day free trial. So if you got a spare 98 Setup disc somewhere you could at least try it and see if it works. Then you can evaluate how much the retail software is worth to you.)
I wouldn't use an XP or later install disc though as these are awful at running old games. If you used XP you'd have to resort to using another virtualisation inside a running virtualisation just to run a game... You get the picture...)

Yeah, I remember I tried running The 7th Guest on a newer computer and it was playing at roughly 10X fps. Haha

I'm surprised you got it to run at all. I could never get my copy to work on XP.
