There's also manual dexterity and input considerations. He'll have to get used to repeatedly tapping the jump button and making sure his sensitivity and FOV are high enough.fastbilly1 wrote:There are three steps to getting good at Quake:TheSegaSaturnGuy wrote:Now I just have to get down how people get so good on quake and I'll be set with Dreamcast online gaming.

How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?

Thanks! I tried playing a few times so far and I have just gotten destroyed, I'm finding it easier to play with the mouse and keyboard as well. I wish that we could take some of these Call of Doody players of today and put them in a Quake game and see how they do lol.fastbilly1 wrote:There are three steps to getting good at Quake:TheSegaSaturnGuy wrote:Now I just have to get down how people get so good on quake and I'll be set with Dreamcast online gaming.

I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)
Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping!

I am alittle shaky on my Dreamcast Quake 3 knowledge, but I believe Bunnyhopping was severely nerfed. But yeah, you do need to learn how to play with a very high sensitivity. And you will be infinitely better with a Mouse/Keyboard over a controller.Ack wrote:There's also manual dexterity and input considerations. Truth be told, I played alot more UT and Outtrigger.
Re: How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?
D2 is certainly taking me more time to finish than I remember.

At least yours works. Mine likes to hang on cutscenes, so I've been stuck for a long time now.Luke wrote:D2 is certainly taking me more time to finish than I remember.
Eh, oh well. I didn't spend much time playing FPS on the Dreamcast. In fact, I really haven't spent much time playing FPS on consoles since the N64. There were a couple of PS2 and Xbox FPS games I played, but not like how I would sink time into Hexen, Turok 2, GoldenEye, or Doom64.fastbilly1 wrote:I am alittle shaky on my Dreamcast Quake 3 knowledge, but I believe Bunnyhopping was severely nerfed. appreciated, but I have this really weird thing about borrowing stuff. I don't like to do so. I also don't like lending stuff.Luke wrote:Feel free to borrow my discs after I beat D2 this year.noiseredux wrote:I really need to play D2 at some point. I loved the first one.

Re: How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?
Hey guys, which Phantsy Star Online should I go with?
1) This one
2) Or this one that seems to have some extra features
I won't be playing online at all really. And I rather get the one that is most original without extra stuff added by a third party.
Or should I consider playing Ver 1 first?
