There are three steps to getting good at Quake:
1. Memorize map layouts - specifically weapon spawns, choke points, and spawn points
2. Learn how the weapons hit - specifically firing patterns
3. Practice Practice Practice
There's also manual dexterity and input considerations. He'll have to get used to repeatedly tapping the jump button and making sure his sensitivity and FOV are high enough.

Thanks! I tried playing a few times so far and I have just gotten destroyed, I'm finding it easier to play with the mouse and keyboard as well. I wish that we could take some of these Call of Doody players of today and put them in a Quake game and see how they do lol.
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)

Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping! :)

I am alittle shaky on my Dreamcast Quake 3 knowledge, but I believe Bunnyhopping was severely nerfed. But yeah, you do need to learn how to play with a very high sensitivity. And you will be infinitely better with a Mouse/Keyboard over a controller.

Truth be told, I played alot more UT and Outtrigger.

D2 is certainly taking me more time to finish than I remember.

At least yours works. Mine likes to hang on cutscenes, so I've been stuck for a long time now.

Eh, oh well. I didn't spend much time playing FPS on the Dreamcast. In fact, I really haven't spent much time playing FPS on consoles since the N64. There were a couple of PS2 and Xbox FPS games I played, but not like how I would sink time into Hexen, Turok 2, GoldenEye, or Doom64.

appreciated, but I have this really weird thing about borrowing stuff. I don't like to do so. I also don't like lending stuff. :|

Hey guys, which Phantsy Star Online should I go with?

1) This one

2) Or this one that seems to have some extra features

I won't be playing online at all really. And I rather get the one that is most original without extra stuff added by a third party.

Or should I consider playing Ver 1 first?
