Shoot. I hate shopping on Black Friday. It's never worth the stress.
Plus there's the obvious hypocrisy inherent in the rampant greed immediately following Thanksgiving. I guess that's a whole other topic.

EDIT: It'd probably help if I actually read the linked article before posting.

Anyway, looks like I can finally get the Prime Trilogy for a decent price.

I got to agree with you there. Whenever I've went out black Friday shopping I never find jack or if I do it's a couple bucks off. When you account for all the dick head people you have to deal with, it's definitely not worth it.

Oh there are deals, but most you can get online. I do all my shopping online. Well last year we went to a retro store BF and it was a cluster, but we snagged some good stuff.

I'm working on black friday usually, so if I get anything it's just whatever cheap stuff is left that I can pick out of the movie and game bins.

Last black Friday my store over-ordered enough of the good deals that I was able to snag a few goodies after work. The bigger issue was how few of the deals last year were actually deals, regardless of availability. That, and the horrible fact that every year black "Friday" starts earlier and earlier (it started at like 10 PM Thursday last year). In a year or two people will have to choose between Thanksgiving dinner and shopping.

That would be Cyber Monday not Black Friday. Do you guys have Black Friday sales on here?

Nope that would be Black Friday as well. I bought almost everything on Friday and online. Online has almost all the same sales except for a few doorbusters at some places.

I can't comment on Xenoblade as I am unfamiliar with the franchise. I'm not an rpg fan.
That Gamestop R stamp is placed by their Refurbish Center after a used game has been inspected and the disc polished. I have yet to see real proof that either game got a reprint from the manufacturer. However, I think your are right with the Metroid Trilogy plastic cases, either new white cases or crisp clean cases robbed from their stacks of used Wii games at the Refurbish Center. As for the Metroid new covers, Gamestop has printed new covers in the past such as the Best Sellers Covers, just not printed at the local store level.

Just verified the Gamestop site, the games are still $69.99 and $59.99
As for the price reduction, probably their sales of the used refurbished Xeonloblade and Metroid Trilogy did not go as well as expected. Gamestop has to clear the shelves for the WiiU games and other new consoles coming out.

@ sam - I would jump on that Metroid Tin if it is CIB including the outer liner. If you have a good raport with a few of the employees, they might let you refund/repurchase a few times to keep in the seven day refund policy until the price does actually drop..

You can bet i'll snag a copy of Xenoblade, I'm kinda ticked off that MPT will be cheaper but I wonder if that'll affect the rarity of MPT Limited Edition, since that's the pride and joy of my Wii collection.
