Still, the poll has over two weeks to run. We'll see what happens then.Luke wrote:Yeah, I predicted this when t-shirts were first bought up. I think selling ten t-shirts would be a reasonable goal.Ziggy587 wrote:We're gonna need more than 3 people wanting shirts. I know the poll has not even been running for 24 hours yet, but this slow start is scaring me.
I've already thought about taking off the year. The reason being, there's a minimum order for the shirts. If the demand doesn't turn out to be enough for the supply, then I could still get the shirts and use half this year and save the others for next year. That wouldn't work if the year is on it, of course.Luke wrote:Just having the logo isn't a bad idea, but I still wouldn't purchase one.
The problem is that the more complex the design is the more expensive it is to make the shirts. That's the sole reason why the design was kept simple. Solid color shirt. One ink color.Luke wrote:I wouldn't be as concerned about shirt size as much as I would be about shirt design. T-shirts are a dime a dozen, so make one that stands out. For example, you could compile the signatures of the participants, throw that on the back of the shirt, and have the RacketBoy logo on the front. Or you can take an iconic game cover and give it a RacketBoy theme.
I would like to, yes. I'm thinking about doing Star Fox 2. It's cheap to make, and doesn't take too much time. It'll have the same custom labels in line with previous years, but I'm not planning on doing a colored cart shell. It'll just be a regular grey SNES cart.chupon wrote:Hey Zig - you still doing a repro cart this year?
What I really wanted to do was reach out to Aeon Genesis (the group that made the translation and bug fix patch for Star Fox 2) and see if they'd be interested in creating a custom title screen for the charity auction. But I never got around to it, and I don't wanna ask them with a 2 month deadline. I was thinking about emailing them early next year and seeing if they'd do it for another game.
