Yesterday was my shift at Epcot. Without any sleep the night before and my stomach torn up from excessive amounts of soda (MtDew), and by excessive I mean roughly 96 ounces in less than 24 hours, not to mention the fact that I've never been there, I was nervous.

First I found what I thought was my area, but it turned out that I was in the area for backstage custodians and I was onstage custodial, so I had to find that area. It took me a while, but I found it.

I got assigned to do streets at the World Showcase, specifically Japan and American Adventure. I mostly just walked around checking the trash cans and recycling bins and emptying them if they needed to be emptied. I also cleared the cigarette butts from the smoking areas and swept up any trash I found. Overall, I kinda liked it. And they have this store in the Japan section and in the windows I saw some cool stuff, like Pokemon merch, some anime stuff and a few things based on Legend of Zelda (one thing I saw was either a blanket or a messenger bag with the Triforce on it). There was also an area where they did this traditional drum show (IDK what it's called) and a kiosk that sold Japanese snacks and such, including an ice-filled bin selling Ramune, among other things.

Oh, and apparently last night was the last night that The Go-Gos (yes, The Go-Gos and not some cover band) were playing at the concert area in front of American Adventure. They were playing as part of a concert series called "Eat to the Beat", which has a new band every few days, and the next band is Air Supply (don't care) and some of the other bands on the schedule include 38 Special (don't know who they are), Sugar Ray (haven't cared in years) and Hanson (I thought they were supposed to bring in GOOD bands).

Towards the end of my shift I was told there'd be a meeting at 10:30 but I didn't know where it was (it was at the building I had to go to when I started my shift, which is also where I had to go to drop off my keys, radio, broom and dustpan) and it took me a while to get ahold of the coordinator who told me where the meeting was (I missed it BTW), and then I had to wait for the bus (apparently since they don't have the underground areas like Magic Kingdom does, the use buses to get people from one backstage area to another) and it was already crowded when I got on (I had to stand), and then they made a few stops and picked up around less than two dozen people before we got to the Cast Building.

Got a free 16 oz soda from the Hess station on my way home (Fanta Strawberry mixed with Fanta Lime, the latter on its own looks ultra-Shrek-green, not like the citrusy yellowish-green of MtDew), which sometimes happen.

Had a hard time finding something for dinner and settled for the Michellina's entree in a variety I didn't really care for (Ziti Parmisiano(sic?)).

Slept in really late (about 11-12 hours), and on the loveseat no less (which is where I've been sleeping for almost 3-4 weeks after we moved into the motel room).
