Collector value and the Game Boy Player are really the only reason to get a GC component cable, but I sure as hell won't be getting rid of mine, I love my 'cube, just giving a suggestion to people who aren't willing to drop 70-140 dollars on a single cable.ExedExes wrote:Yup. The Game Boy Player supports the Progressive Scan mode too. It looks a LOT better. I'm not looking into a Wii anytime soon, I know those component cables are way cheaper. I didn't mind what I spent, because it's just nice to have them if only for a collector's item.samsonlonghair wrote:Can you output gameboy games in component via gameboy player + GCN + component cable? Would there even be a difference considering the 240X160 resolution of the GBA?
Now a question, I was reading back over the SNES and its RGB capabilities -- a good way to do so would be with a SNES SCART cable and a SCART-to-Component converter box. Both are readily available -- but how would the audio get to the TV? The AV port is going to be taken by the SCART cable and the component cables can only transmit a video signal.
As for your question, I'm not really one to answer, but I'd assume the best course of action would be some type of splitter, or a SCART to Component converter that includes audio leads of some sort, reasonably sure that exists. I don't like using transcoders, honestly, it's expensive, and I'm lazy, so I just get the best signal I can use with my TV without modifying my consoles.
