I own two copies each of Halo and Halo 2 so that throws the count up a bit, it's actually 31 games really.Retrogamer0001 wrote:Any chance you could list them? ^^^ GRAW was awful on oXbox (and PS2). It's nothing like the 360 version.

Can we all appreciate Black? I mean, I know it's not an exclusive and it is a modern military shooter but I still think it has some of the best sound design I have heard in a shooter. I remember reading they did some timing work with guns firing to make them sound almost musical.
Oh, and it's really fun too. Lots of explosions and it might just be the best looking console game period of that gen on both the PS2 and Xbox.

Re: Any xbox and xbox 360 collectors out there...........
Yeah I can dig Black it is an underappreciated shooter that kinda got lost in the shuffle as it being released in the twilight years of the xbox. Sure the game is a by the books FPS shooter but it had it's moments and graphically it was good at that time.
I know most of the original xbox games were mostly multiplatform but they were superior ports sans the PC version. Most of the xbox multiplatform games had online integration that was better than the PS2 and GC. Sure you may say that PSO 1&2 is not as good as the DC version but it did have voice chat and even though I grew accustomed to typing on a keyboard to chat having to just use voice only was something that was a convenience rather than a hindrance.
I think another key is that most of the value of collecting for me was that during the xbox heyday I was able to play a lot of the xbla online enabled games and sure they did not hold a candle to PC online but playing Crimson Skies, Counter-Strike, MechAssault, Moto GP, Steel Battalion, Soldier of Fortune 2, Halo 2, PSO, Capcom Vs SNK 2, SW Republic Cammando, SW Battlefront 1&2, outrun 2, Full Spectrum Warrior TH, Battlefield, Burnout, sealed the deal for me.
And Besides some of these games are still playable via system link and can be enjoyed by friends once in a while playing 8 player outrun 2 is just as fun as playing 16 player halo. Some titles I think were better on the xbox than PS2 were Return to castle wolfenstein(co op and more online players), Full spectrum Warrior ten hammers (More online players), Dead 2 rights(straight up hard no difficulty mode like the others), Street fighter anniversary (Online enabled had so many great matches missed this game
), Capcom Vs SNK 2 EO( even though it was a less than stellar port and the PS2 version had online
only in japan playing online matches was the shit back then and FYI you can set matches to non EO controls so those who thought you only played against EO using scrubs you can play non EO matches and their were some fierce matches that I had that were truly memorable when it didn't lag. And plus to me IMO those who hate on this version of the game didn' play it online to appreciate its nuances and just plain appeal to fight players online.), etc.
I think I will make a post on multiplatform games on the xbox and the differences between the PS2, GC to clarify some recent myths and misnomers. PS you should really try Deus Ex Invisible war, Thief, and Dino Crisis 3 they are not as bad as they seem and are really fun to play.
Quick note before someone starts bringing in the argument about online fighters predating xbox live, Xband, was good but paying long distance fees was a deal breaker back then, and DC online fighters being only available to play online in japan lest no forget that during the DC online years I lived in the US and not Japan so that it was a great idea that had zero effect on me due to the service not being available to US residents so there

Black had its flaws but overall it was a fun and in some ways unique game. Black 2 would certainly be a welcome addition to the increasingly same-y FPS landscape.

Re: Any xbox and xbox 360 collecors out there...........
The OG Xbox is roughly equal to the Gamecube as far as quality exclusives go. The hidden gems are actually the best games on it, but most people just assume that the OG Xbox is worthless if you're a PC gamer. As for multiplats, most, if not all are better on the OG Xbox.Retrogamer0001 wrote:

Here's my definitive list of games. They're all fantastic. I'll include some multiplats best played on the Xbox. They'll be recognized with a '#'.
Throwing a few PC ports in here aswell, for various reasons (better performance, far cheaper in price, far more easy to find, etc.). Just a few though, they are not on the PS2/Gamecube, and they complement the Xbox's library. They'll be recognized with a '*'.
Halo 1 & 2* (exclusive splitscreen co-op mode, not on the PC version)
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Jet Set Radio Future
Otogi: Myth of Demons + Otogi 2: Immortal Warriors (basically the Okami of action games)
Outrun 2 (one of my favorite arcade racing games ever, chock full with content and unlockables)
GunValkyrie (incredibly unique, once you master the controls and stay in the air, it's one of the most fun, satisfying games ever made)
Shenmue 2
Project Gotham Racing 2
Voodoo Vince (unique and underrated as hell, it's a fantastic platformer)
Rallisport Challenge 2
Ninja Gaiden Black
Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Metal Wolf Chaos (the only jp import worth a damn, and one of the best mech games i've ever experienced)
Dead or Alive Ultimate
Dead or Alive 3
Crazi Taxi 3: High Roller* (this game is underrated as hell, basically being a compilation of Crazy Taxi 1, 2 and a new map, for the dirt cheap price it usually goes for is a must own)
Soul Calibur 2# (720p enabled + exclusive char. Spawn)
Fatal Frame II - Director's Cut# (updated with a ton of new content and enhanced graphics exclusive to the Xbox)
Burnout 3: Takedown# (custom soundtracks, far less loading times, better performance)
Timesplitters: Future Perfect# (better controls, faster loading times)
