I wonder how active Ghosts is going to be on the next-gen systems. I'm fairly certain it's a launch/near-launch game. I guess I don't see the point in getting a PS4 right off the bat when I can play multiplayer for free. Sure, you're taking a hit in graphical quality but there isn't a need to spend 400+ on a new console.

I think the player base is going to be really fragmented this time around.

I'm getting a PS4 but I'll still be getting Ghosts for the Xbox 360 since I don't think there is a mouse and keyboard adaptor for the ps4 yet (obviously)

I'll be getting it on WiiU if it's any good because I don't really like Call of Duty on PC (pretty much the only FPS I think that works better as a couch game) and because I can use the Wiimote which is vastly superior to an analog stick, even if it's not quite as nice as a mouse.
Older. Not wiser.

I really couldn't get into the Wii pointer controls. It works okay for light gun shooters but was barely passable for FPS titles. I'd take dual analog sticks or a mouse any day over the Wii remote.

I won't be opting for BF4 or CoD either, but if Titanfall proves to be the medicine for this ailing genre then it might be worth a closer look. Without an SP mode to give it a backstory it had better provide something much better than recent f2p outings.

Titanfall is f2p?

Nah but several f2p's offer expansive experiences. PlanetSide 2 comes to mind.

Modern Warfare 3 can suck it. While the mechanics are probably the most refined in the entire MW series, the maps are just awful. There are a couple I can tolerate but for the most part I hate all the maps.

I've gone back to modern warfare 2 and I'm having a great time. It turns out my hacked stats didn't max prestige so I was able to reset my weapon unlocks. While it sucks I have to unlock everything again I'm doing pretty well for having a poor selection of weapons.

Edit: and this game is kind of a ghost town. It takes a little bit to find a match.

I haven't given a damn about CoD since 4. Naturally, Titanfall looks amazing to me. That team knows what's up (assuming a lot of the CoD4 devs ended up at Respawn).

Destiny is a given, but I'm definitely curious about the next Killzone, Battlefield 4, and Titanfall.

Yeah in regards to BF 4, I plan on getting the PC version and holding off on the console version until the PS4 is released.. No reason to get a 7th gen console version..
