It is go time for PS Torment!

For those who haven't done so already, check out the latest podcast where Dave and I interview Chris Avellone, the creative director for PS Torment.

You'll want to follow the guide exactly up until the Tweaks pack. There it comes more to discretion (though if any say "do not install" then stay with that option). For example, I elected not to use the Max health on level tweak.

I do need to finish it.

I made the mistake of 'trying out' the brave new world expansion for Civ V and now I have had 2 nights of just one more turn until 3 am

The best story RPG and one of the finest examples roleplaying in a RPG :)

Something to keep in mind if you're a first time player:
Get high intellect and wisdom. As soon as you can, do the quest to become a mage.
You get the most available story and dialogue options that way (makes the game better), and you get to use powerful spells with Final Fantasy-esque over the top spell effects.

It's a RPG and a story based one+the combat isn't the games strongpoint, so you can avoid many combat and it's recommended to talk your way out of situations. There's a lot of dialogue in this game, and that's where it excels (+the C&C is well done too)

When you find Pharod's bronze sphere, keep it
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

All right, I started playing! I'm out of the Mortuary, have leveled up and have my Wisdom up to 19. LET'S SEE HOW WELL I DO GOING FORWARD. I don't know if it's a problem because I'm running the game without patches on a fairly modern PC, but a lot of characters seem to be moonwalking.

I bought this game years ago and really liked what I played of it. But I never even got out of Sigil, so I'm not sure how much progress that counts for. Oh well, I'VE GOT DETERMINATION THIS TIME!
I think the Planescape setting is super-cool. I hope Hasbro brings it back some day. Or at least I get miraculously lucky and find a 2nd ed AD&D box-set in a used book store or something...

I think it's a general animation bug. There's a below-average number of character orientations in the first place, and then the animations tend to play very fast on a modern PC, leading to that weird walking behavior. It shouldn't affect things in the long run.

Alright, squeezed in just a tiny bit to get myself acclimated.

On the third floor of the mortuary. Been hacking away at zombies.

I haven't played this game in some time so I'm going to read the instructions tomorrow.
