Looking over some of the designs, I wish they'd go with different colors. It'd be like complaining that Dragon Quest characters ripped off Dragon Ball Z or vice versa, this is Keiji Inafune's style, but surely they could consider different colors so she isn't Roll's twin sister.

Actually that's a fan made design, and a lot of the community is calling for different colors. The pink hair girl is currently the crowd favorite I believe. When expressing my love for this pictures, a lot of people agreed by was instantly met with a lot of "...but the hair and outfit colors need to change". Since the community is ultimately picking the design, I doubt we'll see a Roll clone.

Like I said, I find the whole art style to be very lackluster. Whether she has pink or blonde hair is irrelevant to me when the end result is equally bland

Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

As opposed to what, the old Mickey Mouse-esque Mega Man?

Red and blue as part of symbolism to represent characters in Japanese media goes far beyond Mega Man but I agree in this case they ought to not go there.

Out of the main (regular+X) series, only Powered up and 8 had that overtly kiddie look. 7 was borderline maybe, but still didn't look like a character from a cute em up game.

The design for Beck reminded me more of Astro Boy than Mickey Mouse.

Mega Man himself is pretty much Astro Boy anyway so...
