Keep in mind that most everything hit-japan sells is complete/pristine. The prices seem fair to me.

I love Ebay Buyer Protection! :D
Luckily both of these transactions had the Ebay protection clause, not sure how many do not.

Bought a Kenwood Amp Remote which never arrived and the seller would not respond to my EMail. Initiated Ebay complaint who granted me a full refund back to my account. I have ordered the Remote from a completely different seller, hopefully the remote will arrive soon. Left Negative Feedback.

Bought a six pack of Advantage II flea medicine and only received a four pack. After filing thru Ebay complaint, the Seller offered a refund once I ship it back. This is even after I mentioned I did not want to pay return shipping or have time to order more since my cats would need the medication within another week. Asked to either ship two more packs or a partial refund. Took a few EMails to finally got a third off refund back to my account with a promise I would leave Positive Feedback if I got the refund. The seller even asked me how much he was supposed to refund, in fairness I requested a third off the price. Got the third off back to my account and grudgingly left the Positive Feedback.

Almost 9/10 times the seller will negotiate w/ you. It's cleaner, faster and they don't get negative feedback.

The one time I had a major issue with eBay, it was trying to buy a DC copy of Vampire Chronicle. What I received was a CD-R with the title written on it in Sharpie. The seller didn't respond when I emailed him, and simply closed his account.

He probably had no feedback and a 'too good to be true' price. I'm not saying it's your fault but you took a risk.

It was a long time ago, so I don't recall the details regarding feedback/etc, but suffice to say that it was simply on the lower end for pricing. Like $25-30. Not a "too good to be true".

The eBay Buyer Protection should be on every transaction across the site.

Fortunately for me, I have had no real serious issues; if there was an issue, the seller would always let me know and refund my money. That's only happened less than 10 times in about 300-400 transactions I've had over there. I've never gotten anything that was totally wrong, condition wise or accuracy wise (different game, etc)

I've had tons of games/dvd cases ship in a bubble envelope and I've NEVER seen that happen. WTF.
