Or, you know, play the original. Call of Duty is a wonderful game that I would be happy to go back and play. You know, the WW2 game from 2003?Pulsar_t wrote:http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013- ... th-threats
The only approach I would ever do Cod would be via cracked PC servers.

The Call of Duty: Ghosts Hardened Edition is $120 freakin' dollars.

It has:
-the game
-steelbook case
-season pass for the 4 DLC maps
-some extra DLC character/weapon skins that you won't ever use
-rope (???)
-a digital soundtrack
As crazy as it sounds, I'm actually considering picking this up.
I want to get the DLC maps just once. I've never played them before and this is likely my last Call of Duty game (unless Infinity Ward makes another one for PS3; I don't want to pay for online multiplayer on the next-gen systems).

There's only so much one can play. For my WWII fix RO2 is more to my liking nowadays. Speaking of CoD the newest game is definitely doing one thing right: Dedicated servers.Ack wrote:Or, you know, play the original. You know all I can think about is the inevitable lawsuit from when some stupid kid dies from autoerotic affixiation with that rope.Opa Opa wrote:The Call of Duty: Ghosts Hardened Edition is $120 freakin' dollars.

That kid had it coming.
And I decided against pre-ordering. I'll grab it when it's 20 bucks.

I haven't spent much time with the RO2 series, as I've been enthralled with Killing Floor as far as Tripwire is concerned. That said, I do intend to check it and Rising Storm out eventually.Pulsar_t wrote:There's only so much one can play. For my WWII fix RO2 is more to my liking nowadays. I would also argue that CoD is doing three things right with their latest game: dedicated servers, enabling better graphics performance in PCs that are more powerful than current or next-gen consoles, and finally included female avatars in multiplayer to better reflect what the US military currently looks like.

I got in a hacked MW2 lobby and automatically boosted to level 70 with everything unlocked. Kind of sucks. Now I don't have anything to work towards.
I guess I'm done with mw2. Not sure if there's a way to revert my level...

can't you just prestige? or did they boost you to max prestige too?Opa Opa wrote:I got in a hacked MW2 lobby and automatically boosted to level 70 with everything unlocked. Kind of sucks. Now I don't have anything to work towards.![]()

On ps3 right? Yea that happened to me so I decided to sell my copy. I think I sold it to you right? I was able to prestige and reset everything but it still sucked having all the titles and emblems. There's some terribly annoying hacks in that game. In the first Modern Warfare the only hack I ever came across just made everyone run insanely fast which was hilarious and actually kind of fun to zip around with a shotgun.Opa Opa wrote:I got in a hacked MW2 lobby and automatically boosted to level 70 with everything unlocked. Yeah, you sold me yours. I actually traded in the one you sold me when I got a copy of the Hardened Edition in a lot. I think I paid you 7 dollars right? Gamestop gave me 9. Massive profits!flex wood wrote:On ps3 right? Yea that happened to me so I decided to sell my copy. I think I sold it to you right? I've been in one of those speed-lobbies. They're kind of fun for a bit.
MW2- I was in a match on Quarry and a guy on my team, let me reiterate, ON MY TEAM, was sitting on a building launching grenades killing me and my other teammates. I just want to play the game; can't these people do something else?
