There's also Bangai O, although obviously the dreamcast version got a western release.

Is that similar to Legend of the Mystical Ninja on the SNES? Because I love that game.

The first game is a 3d platformer, a la Ocarina of Time, but it's still the same characters and story concepts. The sequel would definitely be up your alley though, it is a 2D platformer in the spirit of the SNES Mystical Ninja. I really loved those games, but for some reason when they came out most of the gaming magazines (Remember those?) wrote them off with 3/5, 7/10, etc. reviews. I think both are excellent and worth checking out, and they go really cheap at most used game shops and fairly reasonably on ebay as well.

Hahaha sounds like a mystery worth investigating, thanks.
