So back on topic... I think Luke is right about the movies focusing on Batman because of the action, but I think that Affleck could make movie Bruce more like comic Bruce. I keep thinking about the reaction of Keaton and how the internet would have handled it... because Keaton did portray Bruce Wayne the best out of the seven modern movies.
I seriously doubt the new movie will focus on Bruce trying to climb out of a tunnel for forty five minutes, but I do want to see "Bruce Wayne". Nic Cage pulled off Big Daddy, Ben can pull off Wayne and Batman. When the mask is on, it's a dude in a mask, not Ben Affleck in a mask.
And if you've seen Ben in person, he can certainly be intimidating. Almost anyone in that suit can be intimidating, and it isn't like they hired Robin Williams for the role.
Counterpoint to my own point, Ben would have been a better suit (can't help myself) for Bruce during his Bennifer days. He was THE Playboy during that time. That in mind, he can still channel that unnecessary and inflated ego to make the Bruce character work.
But if this movie bombs...There is still hope. It's not like the entire Marvel movie franchise pushed out great (or even good) movies. The money is there to be made, and even if Super-Bat doesn't tingle everyone's tongue, people will still line up for JLA.
