Yeah you are correct Metal Wolf Chaos is an expensive and rare title. I'm just collecting for the US for now however I know there are a lot of JP, PAL xbox games that I would like to add.

Really nice collection. I saw the Run Like Hell game with the bonus music CD, still contemplating if I should pick it up.

How is that Halo DVD, I also have a chance of getting it too.

I see you started posting demo discs. Do you also have the Xbox magazine discs? Number 39, the Conker disc has a hidden playable level of Metal Wolf and is US region bootable.

They really need to release and HD version for the XBLA

RLH is a poor mans resident evil worth a play if you like crappy games haha. As for the Halo Companion dvd nothing to write home about as it is essentially vol 2 exhibition disc and a bonus dvd.

I kinda sort collect the xbm demo discs but not really as I collect the officially branded games even though xbm is officially endorsed by Microsoft go figure.

As for Metal Wolf chaos I just want the physical copy as I already have the dvd burned copy of it. Also for Rent a hero but not so much as I already have the English translated version of it which is pretty good translation of the dreamcast version but I like it nonetheless.

haha blue stinger I remember that game if you are going there why not include carrier haha. Blue stinger was fun but it didn't have lance henriksen or bishop as a voice over. But yeah I can see the blue stinger resemblance .

I would have never imagined Barbie Horse Adventures being a high value game.. Great thread.. I also want to add that I sold Marvel vs Capcom 2 for about $35 a year and half ago.. I'm curious to know if that is still a valuable game.. Xbox and PS2 versions used to be up there..

That's a good question MVC2 seems to be hovering around 20-30 on good days and I really don't see it increasing in value anytime soon as there are many other ways to play it on other platforms. As for Barbie Horse Adventure that is a different story for some odd reason it seems to stay on the high end even much higher that the PS2 version.

Methinks it is due to the uncommon nature of Xbox multiplatform titles such as Aliens Vs Predator Extinction, Outrun Coast 2 Coast, Predator Concrete Jungle, Jurassic Park Operation Genesis being rarer than their PS2 counterparts.

Alright Since no one so far as I can tell made a top 15 rare list based on rarity and not only value (Racketboys list is good but it doesn't show the really rare games and variants)

I'll make an unofficial official Xbox Rare game list

Now let's get this out of the way I know steel battalion was released in small numbers and it is rare, as well as Jurassic Park Operation Genesis is rare also. But this list I'm taking into account Variations that include alt covers, bonus collectible cards, comics, movie tickets, special bundles and so forth.

Tom and Jerry War of the Whiskers with free Bonus Comic
Enclave with bonus game guide
Outlaw Golf Holiday Golf
Halo/ Brute Force Action Double Pack Bundle (Some say it was released in the US and Some say it was released only in Canada and or Mexico since there is no consensus I will not include it but this bundle is very rare so be on the look out.
Also The lord of the rings The Fellowship of the ring collectible cards I did not include as there is no definitive source that states the actual number of cards released in the special packaging. From my own estimation it could be as little as 60 to as much as 100 plus...

Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith with bonus dark horse comic This variation came out after the initial batch and was a way to promote the dark horse comic series. There is also a rumor of a variation that comes with a free movie ticket but I cannot confirm or deny it.

Robotech Battlecry with bonus DVD of Episode 1 only not much is known to me me why it was released alongside the Robotech Battlecry Limited Edition. Maybe as a way to promote the extended editions of Macross FYI a PS2 and Gamecube Variation of this exists also

Shrek Super Party with Free Shrek Watch I have seen Shrek Super Party's with the label and almost never with the shrek watch so IMO it is rare. There is a Gamecube equivalent but it came bundle with Shrek Extra Large and not Shrek Super Party the PS2 version is rumored to exist but no one so far has come forward to present proof so I chalk it up as rumor for now.

50 Cent Bulletproof with Bulletproof Vest cover game came out during the end of the xbox lifespan so it was largely ignored. There is a PS2 equivalent same bulletproof vest

Batman Rise of Sin Tzu Action figure commemorative edition Batman #6 and batgirl #5 There were only 25,000 copies made for each figure, and batgirl is the rarer of the two. The PS2 version came with Robin and Darkwing, while the Gamecube version got the lame version with the signed lithograph

NASCAR Total Team Control Walmart Limited Edition Exclusive A pretty lame limited edition with only a foil sticker with a cheat code for the game it is rare due to it coming out at the end of the xbox lifecycle and was largely ignored. So if you see it don't hesitate snatch it up as it's value would only go up and is needed to complete a complete US xbox set.

NASCAR 07 Walmart Limited Edtion Exclusive Comes with a plastic overlay with Limited Edition etched on front an also suffered the fate as NASCAR 06 as it came out during the Xbox 360 and was ignored by many but in reality it is extremely rare and almost never seen on any online auction site and or store so if you see it don't hesitate snatch it up as it's value would only go up and is needed to complete a complete US xbox set.

Darkwatch Bundled with Free Darkwatch T-Shirt As far as I can tell it was an gamecrazy exclusive however I have seen it at gamestop so who knows but one thing is for sure it was released in limited numbers and also largely ignored. One thing is for sure this is really difficult to find I have not seen it in the past couple of years on ebay or any online store for that matter. If you find yourself a copy with t-shirt intact you got IMO the rarest Xbox variation on the console hooray for you.

remember this is an ongoing investigation so who knows what other xbox variations may surface and become the rarest variant. But for now this list is a good place to start for those aspiring to collect for the original xbox. Thanks
