But you see, the way people look at multiplat games this gen is very odd.pepharytheworm wrote:
I think you missed his point... I think he was stating, which you somewhat confirmed, that just CoD won't make people choose one console over another because its multi-plat. You yourself stated people will buy an Xbone and PS4 to play call of duty. So again no advantage for either console. Add that with exclusive content and then consoles start to sell.
You misquoted me, you gladly pointed out that people will buy an Xbox1 and a PS4, but you didn't acknowledge that people would not buy a Wii-U to get Call of Duty. So when you say "no advantage for either console", then sure..in a head to head between Xbox and PS4 (Xbox would have the advantage due to better controller and Xbox Live I would think) there is no advantage, but compared to the Wii-U? How isn't there?
You can say Assasin's Creed, Arkham, Dark Souls, Skyrim, Grand Theft Auto, Mass Effect, Bioshock and all that good stuff are not exclusive, but from the perspective of someone with a Wii, they might as well be. If a game loves Metal Gear Solid to death, is he going to look at Wii-U the same way he would look at the 4 other consoles that will get the new MGS? Probably not.
The fact is, there are 3 home consoles, and one of those consoles do not get the bulk of the big name multiplat games, so those games are actually "exclusive" in some sense.
