I'm afraid to ask...how many hours?
Shorter than I was expecting, to be honest. 63 hours including the (probably) unnecessary grinding I did. I got to lvl99 in the second to last dungeon. Did about 98% of the challenge quests. I only missed a couple of those.

I expected 80+.
60hours sounds perfect to me. I've played my fair share of RPGs and quite a few of them seem to drag on a bit too long without the need to.

SMTIV in my eyes is one of the best paced games in the genre I've experienced. I mean that in terms of story and level progression.

If someone needs more game time than that's what the alternate paths and endings are for right?

I don't mean that 60 is too short. But I wish a little more of that were for story, to be honest.

I think there is some story DLC if you're into paying for that kind of thing.

I know. I think we've all also played games that we didn't want to see end. Sounds like this one of those games for you.

I'm at the the part where
I'm in some sort of alternate Tokyo where everything is destroyed. Just accepted the two main quests in the area and saved after playing around with fusions.

The last two bosses were also extremely easy. I didn't use up any items on them. Because I thought there would be something more difficult after. Beelzebub was the toughest boss for me, and he was not even mandatory. Oh well.

You were also level 99 and almost certainly had a great set of demons. That's kind of how every RPG is if you're properly prepared.

And yes, I still unnecessarily horde great items in every RPG when I pretty much never end up using them. XD

I feel like my playthrough is totally opposite dudes like erik and popo... I'm just really not a completionist gamer. So I'm collecting/fusing demons on a "need to" basis; I'm not doing much in the way of Challenge Quests; I'm completely avoiding paying any attention to FAQ's in regards to how to choose my Alignment; I'm not grinding (yet) just to grind, but rather leveling up naturally based on encounters I'm hitting through my own progression. I think it'll be interesting to see how my experience turns out vs. theirs.

That's how I'm playing. Haven't grinded at all. It's all about your set of demons, really. That's the most important thing in SMT games.

I think Persona feels way more grind-y than this game honestly.

oh speaking of demons, where I'm at right now (lvl 9) it seems that the max number of demons I can have is 8. At some point, does that number increase?

Also I'm reminded that I've probably got quite a few App pts. to blow through since I've only spent them on App's that were required thus far.
