Yeah, but watch the unfolding animation. It's terrifying.

I keep a hunting knife in my purse (once attacked, always careful), but to be fair, I certainly wouldn't keep one in my pocket. :pValkyrie-Favor wrote:I would never keep a switchblade in my pocket, much less that thing
...unless it was some sort of awesome folding gun blade, and then hell yeah I would!

I keep a folding lock back in my pocket most of the time. I also have a buck knife I wear when I dress up sometimes. But a switchblade in your pocket isn't that dangerous. A stihletto might be an issue though.

Back on topic, lets bring up "Dragon's Crown", the PS3 and Vita game. How do you guys feel about that, specifically the way they show the sorceress?

Personally, I always try to go with a weapon that is least likely to hurt me when I'm carrying it. Weird stuff happens, even for experts, so if I carried a knife it would be a really sturdy one with a nice grip. If I carry a gun, it's a revolver.I keep a folding lock back in my pocket most of the time. I also have a buck knife I wear when I dress up sometimes. (Scrimshaw handle, engraved blade.)

If you like stiletto style weapons, a Fairbairn-Sykes knife should be right up your alley. They made a lot of these in World War II and they're pretty easy to find. You'll want a proper sheath, though...
I am such a nerd.
Anyway, the sorceress... [Hideously misshapen boobs warning]
She has a nice face and nice hair and a nice color palette. If they made her look like a human being and finished her outfit I might have though she was pretty. I might have decided to buy the game and play as her. They're doing it wrong.

I think that picture is overdone even in comparison to the game.
To an extent I think its poking fun at the D&D beat 'em ups the game is based around, with the general fantasy leanings of girls with huge busts and lacking clothing. Plus, its coming from a Japanese developer, so they are already that much inclined to create things like that.

The characters in Dragon's Crown are all pretty hyper-characterized though, not just the females. Just look at the Dwarf:

Whereas the Sorceress is hyper-feminine, the Dwarf is hyper-masculine. Like 90% of his mass is solid muscle and the other 10% is beard.
