Solving sexism in games: Fat/ugly human female characters
I've been watching Anita Sarkeesian's YouTube videos as well as other feminism-related videos and I have to agree with the general theme: women in video games are mainly used for two things:
1) Damsel in distress. Female characters are always helpless and needs a man to save her. She also acts as a man's trophy.
2) Sex symbol. In this case, the female character is nothing more than eye candy and masturbation fodder for the male gamer.
Both problems can be solved at the same time. What I propose is the giving ugly female characters a greater role in video games.
How can ugly female characters solve sexism in video games? Well:
1) Ugly female characters are pretty much the opposite of sex symbols. They are ugly. Nobody wants to look at them if they can help it and they definitely won't jack off to it. As a bonus, nobody will draw hentai pictures of this ugly female character.
2) Nobody wants to save ugly female characters. Imagine Mario going through all the levels, defeating the massive Bowser, and saving the princess: a fat, old and ugly woman. Would Mario let himself get kissed by her? No, he would politely decline. Why would Mario want to go through all that trouble? The good thing is that he doesn't have to because Bowser wouldn't kidnap the pretty young maiden princess in the first place because Bowser knows that no-one would risk their lives for an ugly old crone. In a world without sex young attractive females, no-one would be worth kidnapping because no-one would be worth saving.
And another thing: magazines are often criticized for showing unrealistic females (they're all skinny) when the majority of the population is not perfect body-wise. Likewise, video games are unrealistic for having so many attractive males and females (with good bodies to boot). This is in contrast to reality: the majority of America is overweight and obese. You go to your local mall and pass Wal-Mart. What do you see? Not 10/10 models with perfect tits, but (excuse my frankness) 0/10 fat hambeasts with their similarly overweight demonspawn. Therefore, it would be a good idea for your party members to be ugly and obese as well to give a good representation of reality.
All I need now are examples of ugly female characters in video games. What is the best representative example you can think of?

Let me try...
This rule of "ugly" human character cna be aplied to the males too. Did you ever see the ugly knight in armor (shrek dosen't count

Sure there are ugly male characters, but you never play as them they are just there... making you laught of something like that.
Every single "human being" in a videogame is unrealistic. They are not a projection of the society or the way the person thinks "i'm so much better than a women, im gonna probe it with this game" they make a game because they think it will be fun.
If were gonna solve sexism in videogames we have to see the big picture, not only the women are being unrealistically portrayed, man's too.

Do the Gears of Wars cast count as ugly characters? Then again, some people (both men and women) may consider them attractive (because they have big muscles like grizzly bears). The Gears of Wars guys might not be skinny metrosexuals but it could be argued that they're attractive despite or because of their looks.
How about Metal Gear Solid 4? If you saw Snake on the street, you'd think he was just some lonely senior citizen. And yet here he is, a main character of his own game. An old guy. When's the last time there was an old female character?
Rufus in Street Fighter 4 is an objectively fat and ugly character, yet he is playable. In contrast, every female character in SF4 is attractive in some ways or all ways. No exceptions.

Whether your statement is correct depends on whether you think the Gears or Wars guys/Old Snake are ugly or not.

Sure, they make games to be fun. But it is no coincidence that just about every major female character is specifically designed to be attractive.

A couple of questions:
1) What is the big picture?
2) Why is the bulk of complaining about sexism in video games coming from women and not men?

If you don't know where to begin to address the subject, I'll give you a little assignment instead:
Can you think of any major (not disposable sub-characters) human female video game characters who are fat, ugly, old or a combination of all three?
