There's a game by SEGA called Crush that looks pretty cool.

Think Final Fantasy, but in the style of a Level 5 (Rogue Galaxy, Dark Cloud) RPG. Fantastic presentation, quality SRPG design. Try FF Tactics first, because that is better but if you enjoyed that then you'll definetly like this.

Also check out; Gradius Collection, Burnout Legends, Tekken Dark Resurrection, Lumines, Disgaea PSP, Star Ocean, Patapon and Crush. If you tally up the number of great games listed in this thread already then it honestly makes no sense why people trash the PSP so much, there are plenty of great titles for the system. Particularly games that appeal to long time players. I like both the DS and PSP, not sure why DS owners are so cock stubborn about their console being top dog.
I might look into Jean D'arc. I have played FF Tactics on the PS1 and was going to check out the PSP remake, but I'm a bit annoyed to find out that there's a bunch of weapons and items that you can only get in multi-player. I don't play strategy rpgs for multi-player. I don't think anyone does. I've sort of lost interest in the Disgaea remake too since Nippon Ichi is re-releasing it AGAIN with even more enhancements on the DS, so the PSP port will shortly become obsolete. This just leaves me with Jean D'arc for strategy rpg options.

Crush sounds cool, and reading this thread has opened my eyes to a bunch of cool games I didn't know about.

Yeah me too. I admit that the PSP has a better library than i thought. Lol i quickly change my mind xD But you can't call it "outstanding" that's for sure.

Actually both the DS and the PSP seems to be really quiet lately. No good titles at all. With the exception of Star Ocean for PSP and Order Of Ecclesia for the DS (which both come out tomorrow lol) i don't see anything interesting in the horizon with the exception of Dragon Quest IX for the DS perhaps.

I guess the thing that turn me off and i don't quite use my PSP anymore (besides video playing) is the crappy controls on some 3D games and because i was expecting bigger things from this portable with such power. Might myself try out a game or two.

Jean d'arc, dark mirror, Dracula X and burnout legends are all indeed, pretty awesome games. I completely agree with the recommendations there.

However... why has nobody mentioned Lumines? Perhaps the best time waster on the damn thing? If you want a good puzzle game pick it up immediately, you won't regret it.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?

Lumines and Burnout could be fun. I'll look into those too

I take back what I said about Disgaea. I'm reading that the DS version is a pretty crappy port with a couple of gimmicky extras to make up for it(Prinny Commentary? WTF!?). Guess I'll get the PSP version afterall. A couple half-ass extras aren't enough to make up for a downgraded version of a classic game.

That Sega Genesis Collection looks interesting, especially with Comix Zone and Ristar included. Course I could just as easily emulate them.

I've actually had quite a bit of fun with three pretty simple games: Sega Rally Revo, Exit and Mercury Meltdown.

I've just started playing Driver '76 and it seems okay. I'd like to recommend Death Jr. and Death Jr. II but while they both have a great story and atmosphere, they each have a few irritating aspects which seem to ruin the experience. I've got Silent Hill, Syphon Filter and Medievil waiting in the wings but I haven't played them yet. Loved all these series on PS1/PS2 so I'm hoping they keep up the traditions.

You know the PSP is one of the most convenient and practical systems I've ever owned. It's region free right out of the box. You can easily transfer saves from PSP to PC without any kind of third party device. The discs for the games seem to be inside some kind of case with only one small part of the disc exposed, which means that UMDs are theoretically easier to keep clean and scratch free. Plus, the ease of homebrew, emulation, videos and music. This is one handy little system.

I probably use my PSP more often as a music player than anything (at work). You can store quite a bit of music on a memory card if you get the larger ones. It really is a great little system with easy to use controls. As a game machine, my only real complaint is that it becomes hard to hold for long periods of game play with no handles like on the Playstation control pads.

I've also heard that Puzzle Quest is a good game and I've been looking for it but I've yet to find a copy. I found a copy of Crush used but the price was too high for my likes (almost as much as new).
