With me working Graveyard, it's going to be hell trying to get all this crap done. Maybe I'll just ride a bike until next year when I can simply take the test.
It's basically 6 hours of shock videos about texting/drunk driving, with a bit of test prep tossed in.

I just went and did it on one of my days off.
Looks like I can take a 6 hour online course instead. Not sure how that works, but I'll have to do some more research when I get home. I still have to go in to take the actual test though.

The test and course should be absurdly easy and near a waste of time, except when you think of those who probably do need to take it...

Yeah. It's just the amount of time it's taking out of my day when I could be sleeping. I don't mind the test as much as I do the class. I took the class and test in Minot, and really didn't have to do anything in Louisiana.

Life is a series of training videos that are blindingly obvious to you, but there's apparently people out there who needed to see the video.

Yeah the fact that it's in any way necessary to explain to someone why texting and driving is a bad idea is kinda mind-blowing honestly. I mean at least a drunk has the excuse of impaired judgment.

:) Cleaned out the bathroom and kitchen drains, so they're nice and fast again.

:( Nasty black funk growing in the beard clippings in the bathroom and foul foul smelly sludge in the kitchen P trap. *barf*

Car tire still holding air despite the sheet metal screw in it. So that's good.

Ticked - Patio furniture is expensive and no store in our area carries a sofa.
Smiled - Bought a hammock instead.

:( Was pulling out of work yesterday when my tire caught the side of some broken concrete. Tire had a huge hole in it and I was too tired/dumb enough to realize there was a spare under the Cruiser. So, I ended up walking 2 hours home and had to stay up most of the day while Kit got everything taken care of. My brain was just too burnt out to function correctly.

:) Spent a lot of time playing with and feeding my mantids. It's really relaxing and helps me relieve a lot of stress. The rest of the time was spent chilling with my daughter and watching JonTron. She likes the bird and I like his dumb comedy, even if I don't always agree with his "reviews".

edit:
:D Man, I miss nights like this. I just spent forever fixing a server that had tons of issues and required a lot of upgrades. I didn't feel pressured and I just took my time to work through the issues, troubleshooting each error along the way. Making it from beginning to end without any major screw-ups and not pulling my hair out the entire time. This is what it felt like when I was doing my Linux Administration work and not being forced to do it as a job. It was nice while it lasted, but I'm sure I'll be stressing out again soon enough.
