Looks like I can take a 6 hour online course instead. Not sure how that works, but I'll have to do some more research when I get home. I still have to go in to take the actual test though.AppleQueso wrote:It's basically 6 hours of shock videos about texting/drunk driving, with a bit of test prep tossed in.jinx wrote:I have to take a 6 hour course to get my Driver's License here in Texas because I'm under 25. I didn't have to do all this crap back when I moved from Minot to Louisiana. With me working Graveyard, it's going to be hell trying to get all this crap done. Maybe I'll just ride a bike until next year when I can simply take the test.
I just went and did it on one of my days off.

The test and course should be absurdly easy and near a waste of time, except when you think of those who probably do need to take it...

Yeah. It's just the amount of time it's taking out of my day when I could be sleeping. I don't mind the test as much as I do the class. I took the class and test in Minot, and really didn't have to do anything in Louisiana.Jmustang1968 wrote:The test and course should be absurdly easy and near a waste of time, except when you think of those who probably do need to take it...

Life is a series of training videos that are blindingly obvious to you, but there's apparently people out there who needed to see the video.Jmustang1968 wrote:The test and course should be absurdly easy and near a waste of time, except when you think of those who probably do need to take it...

Yeah the fact that it's in any way necessary to explain to someone why texting and driving is a bad idea is kinda mind-blowing honestly. I mean at least a drunk has the excuse of impaired judgment.MrPopo wrote:Life is a series of training videos that are blindingly obvious to you, but there's apparently people out there who needed to see the video.Jmustang1968 wrote:The test and course should be absurdly easy and near a waste of time, except when you think of those who probably do need to take it...

Car tire still holding air despite the sheet metal screw in it. So that's good.

Ticked - Patio furniture is expensive and no store in our area carries a sofa.
Smiled - Bought a hammock instead.
