Please don't.

GodofHardcore wrote:That's exactly what I'm trying to do: by inserting more fat/ugly/old female characters into video games, I am de-sexualizing the representations of genders. Of course, chubby-chasers/the desperates/granny-lovers are immune from my proposed policy but they're in the minority. The majority want young, supple women with nice tits. I am decreasing them in favor of fat/ugly/old women. Is that not a positive step?
No, it isn't. A positive step would be reducing the emphasis on the "assets" of either sex, so that every character was dressed and accessorized in a manner that did not overly sexualize them. How "attractive" they are to you or what size they are is immaterial to the discussion.

Oh god I've been trapped into responding.

Shit.

Meanwhile "No there shouldn't be" just broke free of the stalemate.

Your single-minded obsession with forcing "ugly, fat, and old" women into games would do little for sexism in games save reduce sales to BOTH genders. Even if a woman thinks of herself as ugly or fat, she doesn't necessarily WANT to see herself that way, and why would she want to see that in a game? This is not to say more realistic representations, with women of different shapes and sizes, would be a bad thing, but your strict focus on those three terms: ugly, fat, and old, is a bit disturbing. It makes me think of the modeling industry where women who approach normal size are called "plus size" models, and even then they are usually ridiculously tall.

So while I welcome discussions on sexism in games, I think your original topic is problematic, certainly won't "fix" anything, and the way you have phrased many of your points could even rise to the level of offending some. I'm glad the discussion has broadened greatly from the original post and I hope you, GodofHardcore, will stop trying to twist it back to your point when it's clear all the meaningful discussion is veering off in different directions.

Why is anyone taking GodofHardcore seriously? GodofHardcore is not a feminist.

Please don't be fooled into thinking that feminists believe any of this nonsense.

Like say you got these titties.

But then, there's like a sea of titties.

That's just too many titties.

You need, like, some well rounded female characters in the titties to make titties sweeter.
