^ That particular Castlevania art is a ripoff of Frazetta's The Norseman. (not that it's uncommon for game art to do that kind of thing).

On topic, I've liked the hand-drawn FFXIV concept art lately. A couple:

I like the art style in Stick It To The Man. It's not out yet but the the art style looked amazing in the E3 trailer.

I thought it had a Frazetta vibe to it, hard to believe it's a straight knock off.

Also Jak and Daxter had some amazing art direction, naughty dog had some really good artists working for them. As a 3d platfomer it's decent but I love it just because I love the world of it so much, on a kind of related note the sound effects rock! I also like how you could be in one part of the world and see other parts that you've been to.

Crash Bandicoot and Jak games both had very fitting music and sound effects.
Although I still love Jak 2&3, I wish the series would've stayed in the Precursor Legacy style.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

Yes, that one is brilliant.

The game also has what is arguably the best title screen (and opening theme) ever.
