Actually wait... Sega had a much wider selection with the Dreamcast with stuff like Shenmue, 2Ks, Skies of Arcadie, Power Stone, Crazy Taxi, Phantasy Star Online and Jet Grind Radio . All new games and they still didn't make it.
I am not saying Nintendo is going the way Sega did (Although I will not be surprised if they did based on the current strategy) , but they should learn its about time to change their 20-30 year old franchises. 3rd party publishers quitting on them is not helping at all, actually its fatal .
Uh, wut?
Nintendo's issues with the Wii U have very little to do with their software output. In fact, their games are
THE redeeming factor of the system.
Why not just keep making games from these popular series as well as investing time and money into fresh concepts like TW101, Bayonetta, and some of their smaller eshop stuff? Hell, this week Miyamoto even talked about how he was working on a completely new IP.
Likewise, SEGA's issues had little to do with their games either.
Oh. and Capcom made Power Stone btw.
