Another thing to consider is, how many people have only just recently purchased a "current-gen" console? How many of those will want to upgrade sooner rather then later? I remember reading this article a couple months back and it was really enlightening.

We've seen the 3DS, Vita, and now Wii U have quite good launch sales followed by an extremely low point where systems are hardly moving at all while people wait for more games to release. This has got to be a trend right?

Oh, and here is that little fall lineup calender I mentioned earlier:

Something new for Wii-U owners to look forward to? Let the speculating begin!

The game will be called "Wii-U Wii-U!" It is going to be like surgeon simulator, but for Nintendo characters.

Nintendo now reminds of Sega with the release of Dreamcast . They just do not want to let go of Mario, like Sega never wanted to let go of Sonic that didn't work too well in the 3D world.

Actually wait... Sega had a much wider selection with the Dreamcast with stuff like Shenmue, 2Ks, Skies of Arcadie, Power Stone, Crazy Taxi, Phantasy Star Online and Jet Grind Radio . All new games and they still didn't make it.

I am not saying Nintendo is going the way Sega did (Although I will not be surprised if they did based on the current strategy) , but they should learn its about time to change their 20-30 year old franchises. 3rd party publishers quitting on them is not helping at all, actually its fatal .

Nintendo has gone 3 generations prior to this one without great 3rd party support. I'm not sure why it is fatal this generation where it wasn't before?

Uh, wut?

Nintendo's issues with the Wii U have very little to do with their software output. In fact, their games are THE redeeming factor of the system.

Why not just keep making games from these popular series as well as investing time and money into fresh concepts like TW101, Bayonetta, and some of their smaller eshop stuff? Hell, this week Miyamoto even talked about how he was working on a completely new IP.

Likewise, SEGA's issues had little to do with their games either.

Oh. and Capcom made Power Stone btw.
