Yes.

Right, because a virtually endless coin collect-a-thon, and a cat suit were ideas that the world just wouldn't have been the same without.
What a bullshit thing to say. Making a video game, from the creative sense, it's just as much making art that anything else is. IE: Writing a book, writing music, painting, etc. So it'd be like asking an author to write part 4 to your favorite book series even though the author doesn't have any good ideas for it. Just because you don't like the million coin hunt or the cat suit doesn't mean they're bad ideas. The creators of the game came up with them, just like a musician writes a melody that you may or may not like. It still came from their creative sense. They didn't just pull it out of their ass because a couple of people in the internet couldn't stop whining.

It's more than likely a software update, so it would be that easy.
Of course it's probably just software update, that still doesn't necessarily make it easy to just go ahead and do like it's nothing. For reasons I've already stated in this thread.

Well either of you come up with one good reason why you hate Nintendo and I'll concede to it. I haven't heard any good reasons so far. The cat suit? Not a good reason. The Nintendo Mafia murders? Not a good reason.

That's really funny.

Seeing as they probably like keeping their fans, they might work on a way to solve the issue. Maybe they'll localize more games. Or maybe they will eventually lift the region lock. I'm happy they at least paid attention to the outcry.
Yeah, what a dick company. They don't even care enough about their fans and their dumb petition to give them a response.

This is definitely not the end. Nintendo didn't even say flat out NO like these sensationalizes make it seem. They just said they have no plans. So that obviously doesn't rule out the future. It was extremely nice of them to even make a statement. I would say this isn't the time to stop and give up, it's the signal to keep going! Keep getting the petition signed. Keep making noise about it, make it clear we want region free consoles.
