Okay that was pretty damn funny

But Family Guy only rarely has any funny moments these days. It's pretty much like The Simpsons now. A show that was once great and now has absolutely nothing to offer anymore.

South Park is pretty much the only animated comedy I think is still fresh, but I'm not even sure how much longer they can keep that going. These season so far hasn't really blown me away. They're doing stuff I've seen before. And I'm sort of sick of Cartman. I kind of wish they could kill him off somehow like Chef. He's not funny anymore.

Anyone remember the manatee episode. South Park totally ripped Family Guy apart in that two part story. Even doing a pretty spot on parody of a Family Guy episode.

I find the last 3 seasons (including the current one) of South Park to still be pretty damn good, including cartman finally getting his ass royally kicked, by Wendy no less. That was so epic.

Yeah, it was pretty damn epic. Personally I think the best episodes lately are the ones that have a high level of Butters. He just has that earnest naivetivity that makes the situations he gets in to that much more hilarious, like the Cartman Sucks episode.

I like Butters. He's a wuss and an idiot, but I also appreciate his innocence. With this last episode though, he seems to be growing some balls. I do love the irony of him being the one to tell Cartman that people would call him a f****t if he got beat by a girl. And it was pretty funny hearing him say, "Fuck him up Wendy!"

The thing I hate though, is that even after getting his ass beat Cartman still ends up happy in the end. I like the one when he lost the amusement park. He got what he deserved. I still like South Park. I don't think they've gotten stale yet, but they are losing just a little of their originality. Imagination Land was awesome though.

EDIT:And regarding what I said about Cartman getting killed off. Think of the funny stuff they could write with him in hell. How would Satan deal with him?

I'd bet anything that it's coming. Cartman would be such a terror in hell that Satan would probably work out a way to resurrect him just to get rid of him. And then everything would be no different than before, like any episode.

I hate when I hear some one say this. My girlfriend said this to me tonight. Saying its a waste of time is like saying life is a waste of time cause in the end it doesnt matter that you beat every mario game ever made. This also implies tv is a waste of time, movies are a waste of time, books are a waste of time, any hobby that any one does is a waste of time. Does any one else feel the same way about this? or am I the only one?

Any hobby that doesn't have a higher purpose could be viewed as a waste of time. Hell, women and their clothes shopping and gossip rags are even worse as far as I'm concerned but, I know it's what they like so I don't give'm crap about it.
It's too bad that your gf doesn't respect your hobby~
