Can't remember the last time I felt the need to send a physical letter.
The significance of a hand written letter is inexplicably profound. When one of my best friends died I wrote a solemn hand written letter to his parents, and they framed it. We aren't talking calligraphy here, just a hand written letter in cursive. You are taking the time for someone who deserves your time.
Hell, use lined paper if you need to, but write someone a decent letter once in a while.
