First, i'm not saying I didn't enjoy them - I did/do. Like I just said, Brave, one of their newest releases, was outstanding. The point is not every film is going to appeal to both demographics - more importantly, it shouldn't.
I'd much rather have a movie that I love (as an adult), OR that my children love. It seems many movies go for both and do a disservice. Sure, "I thought it was pretty good. My kids thought it was pretty good." Is that what we're going for? Pretty good? I'd much rather have me think something was "just ok" and my kids "LOVED it!" than the alternative of everyone is moderately entertained.
The parts of movies that most of us adults might find funny are usually lost on the children - then the silly parts that the kids like make us roll our eyes and we all leave the movie having been entertained. I'm glad some studios are trying to thoroughly entertain children rather than moderately entertain both.
What was the last movie you've seen?

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

Um, I don't remember it happening in Hallows Pt 1. If it did, it wasn't very significant or obviously permanent...then again the whole series is kinda a blur of meh for me.Stark wrote:Nice try that doesn't happen in the last one.dsheinem wrote:I never did watch the last one. Man of Steel

There will be a couple Pixar originals before Finding Dory comes out for Thanksgiving 2015: Next summer's The Good Dinosaur and then Inside/Out for Summer 2015.Luke wrote:You do know the next PIXAR film is a FINDING NEMO spin off, right?dsheinem wrote: ...even in the age of sequel overload.
Also, Planes and the 2014 Planes sequel (ugh) are DisneyToons, not produced by Pixar, though obviously they come from the same lame, "Hey what if everyone in the world was a ____" idea.

Samuel Jackson needs to be in this movie, if only to say does he look like a fish.Luke wrote:You do know the next PIXAR film is a FINDING NEMO spin off, right?dsheinem wrote: ...even in the age of sequel overload.
