That must be an exaggeration Bone. Unless she makes nearly a million bucks a year or a very high 6 figure salary.

Congratulations, Bone (and good luck)!

My wife is home with our two children, and the transition was very difficult for her. Be sure that you allocate some time each week for yourself where you can get out of the house so that you don't go stir crazy. (My wife takes pottery lessons, I suspect that you will head to the Exchange. ) Most of all, however, be sure to enjoy your little one while she is small. I can assure you she will grow up very quickly!

I know he was in education, and I'm really hoping he taught math, because it will amuse me.

Congrats Bone!

I'm in the process of making Jinx a stay at home dad. I love staying home with the little monster, but I've held down a job since I was 13, and not working (for a paycheck) feels weird to me. My only words of advice is to find some time for yourself, because too often I feel that I don't get 'days off'. I joined a gym, and that seems to be working out. (pun intended).

The only thing I'm worried about is him doing the laundry and making the bed. I am super weird about doing those a certain way. I actually throw pillows and stuff at him when he messes with me while I'm doing these things.
I'm here for your body.

My wife is a Type A "married to the job" type - her job is her passion, she'd go nuts being unemployed or staying at home. She's a doctor and on the surgical staff at one of the hospitals here in Maine's capitol. I'm a bit lazier and have always worked part-time non-demanding type jobs (I was a barely full-time teacher, and uncertified). My wife hates housework, homemaking, and cleaning - which I actually don't mind, so we "balance" each other out well, so to speak.

And yes, MrPopo, I did teach some math. What is funny about that? The fact that most public school teachers such at math? Don't even get me started.

:) New Animal Crossing and a PS4 preorder.

 New student orientation on Saturday. Have to be up at 4am in order to get there on time.

:x Sleep schedule is all out of whack. 5 hours of sleep last night. 2 naps today. One nap yesterday. It's going to be a bitch getting myself back to "normal".

:D Had a wonderful and much needed three hour nap today

 I needed it because of a half an hour long airsoft pistol fight with an ornery and agitated six+ foot long black rat snake in my living room/dining room at 2am last night. Seriously. Epic battle, blood on the walls, lunging and hissing, a brilliant fucking headshot, the whole bit. Intense. I carried his corpse in a pizza box to the ditch behind the house.

:( I don't like killing anything (even snakes). There were no other good options though, as he'd already spooked the dogs and I don't want my wife and three year old to walk around the house in constant fear (which they would), nor do I want any of our regular guests to have an encounter with him. I'd tried everything I could to get him outside/keep him outside before when I've found him in the basement or elsewhere near the house, but slithering through the living room while the dog was sleeping and I was grabbing a midnight snack was a bridge too far.
