That must be an exaggeration Bone. Unless she makes nearly a million bucks a year or a very high 6 figure salary.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Without getting into too much detail I will say this - my wife makes about 10 times as much as I do (guess I should say "did").

Congratulations, Bone (and good luck)!
My wife is home with our two children, and the transition was very difficult for her. Be sure that you allocate some time each week for yourself where you can get out of the house so that you don't go stir crazy. (My wife takes pottery lessons, I suspect that you will head to the Exchange.
) Most of all, however, be sure to enjoy your little one while she is small. I can assure you she will grow up very quickly!

I know he was in education, and I'm really hoping he taught math, because it will amuse me.Luke wrote:That must be an exaggeration Bone. Congrats Bone!
I'm in the process of making Jinx a stay at home dad. I love staying home with the little monster, but I've held down a job since I was 13, and not working (for a paycheck) feels weird to me. My only words of advice is to find some time for yourself, because too often I feel that I don't get 'days off'. I joined a gym, and that seems to be working out. (pun intended).
The only thing I'm worried about is him doing the laundry and making the bed. I am super weird about doing those a certain way. I actually throw pillows and stuff at him when he messes with me while I'm doing these things.

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
My wife is a Type A "married to the job" type - her job is her passion, she'd go nuts being unemployed or staying at home. She's a doctor and on the surgical staff at one of the hospitals here in Maine's capitol. I'm a bit lazier and have always worked part-time non-demanding type jobs (I was a barely full-time teacher, and uncertified). My wife hates housework, homemaking, and cleaning - which I actually don't mind, so we "balance" each other out well, so to speak.
And yes, MrPopo, I did teach some math. What is funny about that? The fact that most public school teachers such at math? Don't even get me started.
