Oh wow, I didn't know this about the Portal games. I may have to try this out when I get home now that I managed to get them to work on my Linux box.

Alan Wake also has this, it is pretty interesting, they do it as a video in the corner that opens and plays when you get to key moments.
I remembered thinking that if you have not played it before then it would wreck some of what is to come as it contained spoilers, but if you need incentive to have a second playthrough, it's nice to have.
