There was a single exclusive level for PS3 though.ZenLogikos wrote:Oh, those surreal, cubist DLC levels weren't PS3 only.

Exactly! If they try to make it more mainstream so CoD fans will like it, they will lose their core fans, I think if the original team is making the sequel, they will stay true to the original concept.J T wrote:More run, less gun!
Here's what I think: A lot of the game has been made already and they showed the demo to EA earlier in the year and they didn't like what they saw because the gameplay wasn't mainstream enough so they canceled it. They heard the cries of the fans and are now putting it back into development and not changing anything.

They need to incorporate combat into the game's momentum and platforming. Running alongside a wall while avoiding gunfire, sliding underneath an enemy's legs, jumping and grabbing a pole and swinging forward and kicking an enemy in front of you, all this without breaking your stride and losing momentum. That's how the game should feel

Re: Mirror's Edge 2 Confirmed!
I loved the first Mirror's Edge. I enjoyed what I played, but there was room for improvement in every area (except the music!!!)
The sequel has a ton of potential if done well. The game mechanics and narrative both deserve more exploring. More open-ended levels would be great. I'm not completely opposed to gunfighting, but I think Faith should go down if she takes a hit in the leg or something. Being able to absorb 6 bullets and run away unscathed in Hard mode? Ridiculous.

Re: Mirror's Edge 2 Confirmed!
The only thing I didn't like about Mirror's Edge was that I had to play the game a second time, because the first time none of the cut scenes played and I had no idea what was going on

I liked that you could see your legs when you looked down.

Really enjoyed the first game though it was a bit short. Would certainly look forward to a sequel unless it ends up being a Kinect game of some kind. >_>
