Are there any decent in game screenshots? The pictures linked back at Assembler in the older post are not very clear.

The price is really good on these ($50 from what I read) I might pick one up in the future.

Why would I want scanlines in VGA? Dreamcast native resolution is 640x480. Adding scanlines on top of that will actually decrease the in-game detail. It doesn't say that this unit upscales. Scanlines would only be appropriate AFTER the image has been upscaled. So 1 frame to upscale and 1 frame to add scanlines would likely equal at least 2 frames of lag using this box.

i know that Outrigger Dreamcast has VGA support and the Arcade runs in VGA mode ( 31k )

also ive seen Virtua Fighter 4 running in VGA 31k mode and it looks unbelievable compared to the PS2's 15k mode

VF4 was running on a Atomiswave Cabinet which the monitor had scanlines

2D sprite based games benefit the most from Scanlines in VGA (particularly when displaying thru an LCD, LED display). This box does not upcscale beyond the DC's native 640x480 resolution (I own what can be considered the prototype to this Hanzo device which was codenamed Kuro by the guy who is building them) so I may be mistaken. But even if it did, 2 frames of lag isn't enough to impact gameplay, let alone be noticable to the average gamer.

Hanzo and Kuro VGA accessories are simply your average DC VGA box but with OPTIONAL additional features like a built in Scanline generator, and a 15khz swtich to play incompatible VGA DC software.
