I Have No Mouth

Space Channel 5

Wipeout
I'm thinking of possibly swapping in some stuff on PSP in their place just so I have the option of some portable gaming throughout the Summer as well. I'll have to think about it though...

I'll be ready whenever I can 1. finish Valkyria Chronicles and 2. actually get my list finalized.
Both of which I'm dragging my feet on.

After all the times you've wanted to play Space Channel 5 for Together Retro, you're gonna take it off your list?
Honestly, I feel like it's a better fit for the summer challenge - its pretty short, and whilst it's certainly very replayable, I don't feel like it has the high score/perfect run appeal of a lot of other rhythm games.
Do you have Loco Roco on PSP? Thats on my list.

I do have LocoRoco and never gave it a shot... So I could consider it. I'll give myself until tomorrow night to finalize the list.
I was also considering Dracula X and maybe a Final Fantasy. Though I've played pretty much every FF game I never seem to stick with them long enough to beat.

FWIW, Locoroco doesn't really meet with my approval as a "classic". It's sort of a critical darling that never sold very well or had much influence on other titles...it is also fairly recent.

Not sure I'm sold on Loco for Summer Gaming, but brainstorming nonetheless.

Pfft, nothing meets your approval as a classic thoughdsheinem wrote:FWIW, Locoroco doesn't really meet with my approval as a "classic". It's sort of a critical darling that never sold very well or had much influence on other titles...it is also fairly recent.

Actually something like 80-90% of what people have chosen is fine by me. Most of your list is ok, for example.alienjesus wrote:Pfft, nothing meets your approval as a classic thoughdsheinem wrote:FWIW, Locoroco doesn't really meet with my approval as a "classic". Locoroco, though? Nope.

Eh, a critical darling that's 7 years old and was one of the early defining exclusives for it's platform fits my definition just fine.dsheinem wrote:

Besides, I need some portable presence on my list or there's no way I'll get through it all, and I don't have many suitable portable games left
Edit: And on the plus side, if you only have a problem with 1 game in my list of 11, that still leaves me with enough classics for the full set of 10
