Re: Games Acquired 2013
I won't be buying any more games this month, so I'm making this post now.
This will be my last "big" month for the foreseeable future. My job ends on June 11th, and thus I won't have any income to buy games with.
I decided to copy noise and include pictures with this post.

I recommend a european 7800 controller if you're getting into the 7800. The US controller is awful, but the European pad is pretty nifty.

I haven't actually bought this yet, but I will next time I go down to Wilsonville (which should be soon). It totally wasn't on my radar, but people here were like :O about it, so I checked out Fortune Street from my library ... and that game is damn fun! I love how the core method of winning is insider trading. That's kind of hilarious, actually.
Outside of weird scan options, I thought it was pretty great, so I'm definitely picking up the game next time I hit Fry's ... namely because it's $15 new there. (FYI, they also have Rhythm Heaven Fever for Wii for $10. And Starfy on DS for $15) Chances are the prices are honored online too.
So, thanks Racketeers, I definitely wouldn't have even considered this if people didn't bring it up.

The first time I played an Atari 7800, it had those EU controllers hooked up. For years I assumed that was the default. Imagine my disappointment when I realized it wasn't.TheSonicRetard wrote:I recommend a european 7800 controller if you're getting into the 7800. The ones that look like actual controllers rather than joysticks:o.pwuaioc wrote:Which are the EU sticks?

I had a 7800 instead on an NES as a kid (maybe that's why I'm a grumpy twat all the time?), and I suffered with the US sticks for almost two decades before picking up the EU ones. Shortly after getting those I started seeking out more 7800 games and am now working on a complete set. Be wary the power of the Atari gamepad.

The Sega Genesis controller works with the 7800 as well, yes?
