Mario RPG Lag Issue
I recently picked the game up for SNES at a pawn shop. The game has major lag issues, almost unplayable. It doesnt make any sense to me. I'm wondering if it's because I played it on the mini snes? Does the mini snes have an FX chip?

Re: Mario RPG Lag Issue
FX chip would be in the cart, not on the console, besides Mario RPG uses SA1.
Did you clean the cart?

Oh right. Yeah I did clean it.
Re: Mario RPG Lag Issue
Can you describe the lag in more detail? Is it that you can't nail timed hits?
Are you playing on a modern HDTV?

Try to find a "Game Mode" setting in your TV's picture options.darthmunky wrote:Like when mario walks, he is skipping forward. Yeah it was on an HDTV. i dont have any tube tvs anymore.

Hmm, no game mode. This is the only time I've ever experienced a problem with playing older games on the TV. Everything works perfectly, that is until I got this game. Do you think it could be the fact that I'm playing it on the mini snes rather than the model 1?
Re: Mario RPG Lag Issue
No, not a chance. The mini is completely compatible with all SNES games. Moreover, I've played Mario RPG on the mini before, works perfectly fine for me.darthmunky wrote:Do you think it could be the fact that I'm playing it on the mini snes rather than the model 1?
Sounds more like a problem with your TV to me.
