I was specifically talking about 360/PS3 allowing for easier inclusion of dual audio, although I probably should have specified. Handheld falls into the realm of space constraints that the previous gen was faced with, and I don't really know anything about Wii stuff (Xenoblade and Muramasa have dual audio though). I know there are some on PS2 but it's pretty rare though, the only stuff I can think of is Odin Sphere and Grimgrimoire. Probably most of the NIS games.

Anyway, as for PS3/360 RPGs with dual audio, looking at my shelf, most of the localized games I have are dual audio. Enchanted Arms, Disgaea 3+4, Resonance of Fate, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Star Ocean 4, Cross Edge, Trinity Universe, Ni no Kuni, Valkyria Chronicles, Eternal Sonata... not to mention every fighting game out there does dual audio now. It's certainly better odds of dual audio than it ever has been even if it's not quite the norm.

There are also cases of Japanese games being voiced in English to begin with (Resident Evil, Nier, Dark/Demon's Souls, Red Seeds Profile). The Yakuza series stands out this gen for not having any dub whatsoever with localizations.

Don't know if it's been posted here or not but if you pre-order the game you get the Limited Edition which has an artbook and a cardboard box for the game/book.

I guess after the first printing they'll make standard editions only.

This only applies to the PS3 version. I don't think they've announced anything about the Vita versions.

I wasn't even going to pre-order but, dang it, a Limited Edition for $40? They've got me suckered in.

I'll be getting the PSN downloads on the Vita. So really only interested in any special DLC they might have. Wonder if they'll do PSN pre-orders. I've noticed more games are doing that now. Glad they're starting to get their act together on that.

I'll probably pick this up. I had gotten rid of the PS2 versions a while back as it happens. FF X is one that I've had a love/hate deal with in the past. I actually found the gameplay quite fun, but the characters pretty annoying. I do remember thinking it looked fantastic even on PS2, so it'll be nice to see the update. X-2 was one I never got around to sinking serious time into, but I had always wanted to because it's so... weird.

I'm really interested in what the feedback is going to be like. Whenever XIII is brought up the immediate response is usually "LOL hallway"; Final Fantasy X is pretty much the same yet held in higher regard. I wonder if people's perceptions of the current games will change after revisiting these titles.

Yea. FFX was mostly a straight shot as well.. And only had around 4 towns maybe? But I do feel like the dungeons sometimes had a little more going on than a straight line.

I love FFX... One of my favorite games of all time. Almost makes me consider getting a ps3 for this reason alone, though I do have many other reasons to get one.

That's not true. The maps in X aren't the most intricate in gaming, but the dungeons and puzzle areas are not comparable to XIII in the slightest.

I'd have to agree there. More comparable than comparing other FF's, but yeah. FFX was still more open and only really lacked an overworld.

Totally loved the dungeons in FFX. I'm so stoked for this HD release. I'd like to see FFXII get a HD release too though with the International stuff and the job systems. Wonder if it'll be too late? Or we'll still see Sony and others support the HD releases on current consoles for awhile...

X may be a *bit* more open (though the illusion of non-linearity is thinly veiled) but it isn't so far apart that you couldn't compare it to XIII.
