Admittedly I was a little taken aback by The Last Blade. I'd argue it's a hidden gem, not a classic.

I'm all for Zork though. A great game. I suggest you try making a map and then post a picture online when you are done.

Last blade is as classic as Eternal Champs.

Maybe I will do Ys 2 instead of Crystalis or Popful Mail. I will decide tonight...

That's why I have no issues with Eternal Champs: both are certified classics

Why are you so indecisive, man?

It's almost like you're waiting for other people to make the decision for you.

Wait a minute.................

My provisional list for the summer - it is mainly focused on games and consoles I never had back in the day:

1. Mega Man II/III (NES) - I have never played a Mega Man game. Not one.

2. Startropics (NES)

3. Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons (3DS VC) - at least one of them

4. Beyond Oasis (GEN)

5. Revenge of Shinobi (GEN)

6. Castlevania (NES)

7. Dragon Warrior/Quest I (NES)

8. Wonderboy in Monster World (GEN)

9. Strider (GEN)

10. Duck Tales (NES)

I have played SOME of Beyond Oasis and Dragon Quest. Otherwise, I have never even touched the games on this list. It's sad really.
Have: Sega Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 800XL, PC, N3DS XL, Wii U, GBA, Xbox One, Switch

Want: Games!!!

You're trying to double dip with the rpg club? You know the group won't get to that game (whichever it turns out to be) until November right?

Of course if you're gonna play it in advance and just want the poll to make the choice for you, then never mind. Just thought I'd ask.

This thread amuses me.

I think I've got mine filled out with way too many modern games ... but hey, it's all backlog.

What I had before:

Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
Metroid: Prime
Super Mario Bros. 2 (Gotta be All-Stars version, NES isn't being very reliable with this game.)
Onimusha 2
Metal Gear Solid 2 <~ Should I play substance? I have both versions.

Now for some games without the number 2

The Walking Dead (PC)
Mass Effect (PC)
Shadow of the Colossus - I never got around to actually playing it, even though I was so pumped for it after loving Ico for so many years. *shame* I need to rectify this one.
Jak and Daxter Precursor Legacy - I never played it! :O

And finally ... Lunar Silver Star Harmony - I just got it ordered off Amazon, been waiting awhile to play it. Coincidentally, I haven't actually played through a jRPG in like 10 years ... and I think that was Lunar Silver Star Story :S

Alright, so spoiler recap so this looks like a list of some kind (and the order I'll attempt to play them in):
  1. The Walking Dead (PC)
  2. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GCN)
  3. Shadow of the Colossus (PS2)
  4. Mass Effect (PC)
  5. Metroid Prime (GCN)
  6. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS2)
  7. Super Mario All-Stars: Super Mario Bros. 2 (SNES)
  8. Onimusha 2 (PS2)
  9. Lunar: Silver Star Harmony (PSP)
  10. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2)
I'll begin ... whenever. Walking Dead will probably be the next game I start, that likely won't be until at least Sunday, maybe even next weekend. Also, I will be getting Last of Us so that'll be played during this period as well, but I didn't toss it in because these are games I've had, or have been targeting, for awhile and I've really been meaning to play them.

This should be fun!

Here is my list from last year. I completed 10 of 12 and for some reason we didn't have someone determining if every game was a classic or not.
Classics
1. Shatterhand (NES)
2. Sonic CD (PS3) COMPLETE 7/9
3. Final Fight (PS3 or Mame) COMPLETE 6/24
4. Cave Story (DS) COMPLETE 6/12
5. Ninja Gaiden Black (Xbox) COMPLETE 8/5
6. Jet Grind Radio (DC or PSN when released)
7. Beneath a Steel Sky (PC) COMPLETE 8/8

Not Classics that I want to beat before summer ends
8. Clash of Heroes (DS) COMPLETE 5/31
9. Captain America: Super Soldier (PS3) COMPLETE 7/8
10. Ben There Dan That & Time Gentlemen Please (PC) COMPLETE 7/22
11. Conan (PS3 2007) COMPLETE 7/7
12. Batman the Brave and the Bold (DS) COMPLETE 7/29
Here is my list thus far:

Classics
Ducktales (NES)
Lunar Silver Star Harmony (PSP - I already started in May and have 3hrs in)
Shining Force III (Saturn - Its a 60+ hour games and I have 20hrs in so I consider it fair game for this challenge)
Castle of Illusion (Gen)
QuackShot (Gen)
Shatterhand (NES)
Adventures of Batman and Robin (SNES)

Not Classics that I want to beat before summer ends
God of War PS3 HD
Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions PS3

I have RPGs, Platformers, Action Games, an adventure game. I still need an arcade game for fun... I will finish the list later.
