Eating Chips and Soda while console gaming?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

the only thing that won't bring forth the eldritch horror from my bowels...

Oh, you've started my day off on the right foot.

I seriously would be in trouble if I could develop a lactose intolerance, as about 75% of the time I drink milk, with the other 25% being some kind of juice.

I always have a glass of water, tea or coffee next to my keyboard or on the table (when gaming on tv) which is no problem cause usually games have a pause button or little breaks to take a sip.
And i usually only eat some bread with ham 'n cheese or salami or the like which is also easy cause the bread isn't greasy or anything. I occasionally also eat pizza every once in a while but then i either pause the game when it's more of an action-type game or i eat while i'm thinking about the puzzles. I also use fork and knive so no grease there :P
But i guess most of us can agree that greasy Gamepads or Keyboards are really awfull

Some good ones for you to try are: Stone's Smoked Porter, Dick's India Pale, Arrogant Bastard, Longhammer IPA, Pike's Monk's Uncle, and Mac & Jack's African Amber. Between Portland and Seattle, there are more microbreweries than anywhere else on earth - nice for me, but not so much for the wallet. I don't know how many of these find their way down there; Stone is in San Diego, though.

Aside from the African Amber, I wouldn't have more than a pint of these beers if you plan on any sort of competitive gaming. The Pike's Ale is 9%...

Hey, what's your impression of Japanese beer? I'm a big fan of Sapporo. What do you guys think of it?

It tas-a lik-a mil-ler lie.

I would suggest a Brizillian Black Beer called Xingu. It's fantastic. Also Third Stone, it's from Lincoln, NE and it is also stellar. Always liked St. Pauly's Girl Dark too.

Also not an IPA fan. A Stone or Nimbus is ok here and there but as a whole, way too strong and hopp-y.

Bleh, not a fan of the hops heavy beers. Sapporo doesn't taste hops heavy, and it tastes better than piss(which is what miller lite tastes like). I like dark beers like Yuengling Black and Tan or Guinness. In fact, if it's so thick I can stand a spoon up in it, it's a good beer.

Sorry you don't like the hops. Actually, I've heard many complain of NW beer being hop-crazy. There's plenty that isn't, I guess you just need to strike the IPA's off the suggestion box. Strike off Arrogant Bastard as well - it prides itself on being too hoppy for most people. I love hops so much, I grow 'em myself. I give them to a friend who uses them in their beer, and get some in return. It's a wonderful cycle...

And Sapporo is drinkable. Not necessarily good, but if I'm at a Japanese restaurant and I don't have anyone to do sake with, I'll drink it.

Guinness is always good. Especially from the tap. I actually consider it a very light flavored dark beer - it's light on calories (relatively), too, which could explain the taste.

Try Red Hook or Pyramid ales. They're pretty good without being in-your-face.

It's true...i was just giving you a hard time. Sapporo is much better than most japanese beers I've tasted. Kinda in the Corona/Heineken category to me though. Not really my style. I'd say Molson or Rolling Rock is better in that category. Which I still don't really like.

Dear god I forgot my favorite beers for some odd reason. Samuel Smith's!!! The Oatmeal Stout is so think you can stand a straw in it. And the Nut brown is fantastic. Also the Organic Tadcaster is a nice medium bodied beer.

And Raki....red hook is a solid beer. nice.
