And I'm thinking Eye of the Beholder. Damn though, you got the two Ultimas before they began appearing on the SNES!
Dude... The NES Ultimas aren't bad, but you don't want to play the SNES ports.
Sure I do! They'd be perfect for a follow up after my run through Lagoon!

For those who don't know, Buck Rogers is one of the SSI Gold Box games set in a scifi environment. The Gold Box engine was the culmination of SSI's turn based wargaming style of combat with typical RPG tropes. Those of you who like strategy RPGs (like Shining Force) may want to check out how Westerners did the same thing.

I know, they are feared for their poor quality. But I still want to give it a shot. Besides, I need something to compare Tecmo's Secret of the Stars to. And Inindo.

Couldn't you just hit yourself in the face with a tennis racket a few times? It'd be faster.

I could, but then I wouldn't get to make the claim that I'd actually beaten those games.

Come on, guys! I beat the SNES port of Pit Fighter recently! I gotta have more PAIN!

Yes, I'd agree that the list is full of quality. Many of these games are legends, or considered pinnacles for their era.

I can't vouch for a couple of those newer digital(?) games, but the other titles on that list are absolute classics.

I'm kinda pulling for Planescape now. Happy I picked up that D&D Anthology before it got crazy expensive.
