My wife and I just watched it. It was pretty fun, especially towards the end. It did not knock me out of my seat or anything, but I think my expectations were a little too high going into it...

We washed it down with the last 30 minutes of Anaconda (1997), which is always a good time.

Just got back from Iron Man 3.

Don't believe the hype.

It was marginally better than Iron Man 2, not nearly as good as 1, and probably a bit below the The Avengers (which I only gave a 3/5 to). Maybe it's just me, but I feel comic book movies have really become especially mediocre and cliche in the past 4-5 years after having a very solid run for the 4-5 years before that. I also felt absolutely zero anticipation for any of the trailers for the new Wolverine, Thor, or Superman films I saw previewed beforehand. Am I alone in thinking comic book films have really started to be very meh?

Yep.

They were always kind of meh to me. Not bad, but not great. I would wait to see them on demand or my buddy would buy the Blu Ray and I'd watch it.

A big reason for that though is that I have never been big into comics or super heroes.

See that's fine if you never liked these films very much anyway, but I did and now don't. Is it me, or is it them?

There were so many horrible plot holes in Iron Man 3 I lost count. The only part with any substantive style was the end of film title sequence. The actors were all going through the motions at best. Aside from a few cool looking action scenes and one or two clever jokes, it felt like a giant waste of time.

It could be fatigue, just too many in a short time frame

I thought it was okay, but there were a lot of areas were they could have done better. Overall it was still a nice addition to netflix and was definitely worth watching.

Gripes/Praise (Sprinkled pretty heavily with spoilers)
Gripes/Praise: Wish they had added a little more of the office scenes to it the humor is what made it great. Especially loved moments like the speaker phone scene and the betting.

Gripe: They should have included more than just zombies for the first half of the movie. Zombies are okay but pretty damn cliche and boring. Damn it he had the conch shell in his hands lol. Also I knew a monster mash up was coming by the end but it would have been awesome to see it happen earlier with the woods or cabin.

Gripe: The deaths weren't very well laid out and were very predictable coming 1 at a time.

Gripe/Praise: The characters sucked for the most part. However the Fool was freaking amazing definitely the most memorable character of the movie he was "smart", a badass with the extendo bong, and extremely entertaining.

Praise: Sigourney Weaver popping up at the end was pretty epic. So your the one behind all this lol.
