My wife and I just watched it. It was pretty fun, especially towards the end. It did not knock me out of my seat or anything, but I think my expectations were a little too high going into it...Fragems wrote:Just noticed The Cabin in the Woods is on Netflix watching it now.
We washed it down with the last 30 minutes of Anaconda (1997), which is always a good time.

Just got back from Iron Man 3.
Don't believe the hype.
It was marginally better than Iron Man 2, not nearly as good as 1, and probably a bit below the The Avengers (which I only gave a 3/5 to). Maybe it's just me, but I feel comic book movies have really become especially mediocre and cliche in the past 4-5 years after having a very solid run for the 4-5 years before that. I also felt absolutely zero anticipation for any of the trailers for the new Wolverine, Thor, or Superman films I saw previewed beforehand. Am I alone in thinking comic book films have really started to be very meh?

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

They were always kind of meh to me. Not bad, but not great. I would wait to see them on demand or my buddy would buy the Blu Ray and I'd watch it.
A big reason for that though is that I have never been big into comics or super heroes.

See that's fine if you never liked these films very much anyway, but I did and now don't. Is it me, or is it them?Jmustang1968 wrote:They were always kind of meh to me. Not bad, but not great. I would wait to see them on demand or my buddy would buy the Blu Ray and I'd watch it.

There were so many horrible plot holes in Iron Man 3 I lost count. The only part with any substantive style was the end of film title sequence. The actors were all going through the motions at best. Aside from a few cool looking action scenes and one or two clever jokes, it felt like a giant waste of time.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I thought it was okay, but there were a lot of areas were they could have done better. Overall it was still a nice addition to netflix and was definitely worth watching.prfsnl_gmr wrote:My wife and I just watched it. It was pretty fun, especially towards the end.
