We had Lunar in Together Retro back in 2008, even though it was a while ago. Should this be the sequel?

Hmm I didn't know this. I think it is far enough out that if it is selected, we could go with SS. It seems most who have been participating in this so far joined after 2008.

I also think we should avoid overlap with TR. However, a follow up to a TR game with its sequel sounds excellent to me.

Like I said it is far enough out. Only you, Ivo, amd 1 or 2 others who have shown interest in this were even around in 08.

Plus I have never played either Lunar and have been wanting to play them for awhile. I own every US release as it is lol.

Since the majority of the group has been here. And hey I can't control what they vote for. Did you even play it in 08? It is supposed to be a great classic JRPG and right up our alley. I know you have a copy.

Yes, I've played it on the SCD and PS1.

I could, but it is already up. Plus that was 5 years ago and affects 2 people. I am about to play a game I've beaten 5 times.

I think 5 years is a long enough time between playthroughs to warrant a replay of a good game. In fact, it seems a bit too long.

If we do end up playing Lunar 1 how about checking out the GBA or PSP ports? Hell the GBA version almost feels like a different game, being on a cartridge and all.

I've played so many RPGs that I think it's inevitable that I've already played some of the games that are to be selected.

To me, it creates an excuse to try out a different port of the game. Like, if Phantasy Star II got picked I would try the original Genesis version, as I've only played it on the GBA.

This is one reason I was pushing the "must have multiple ports!" issue so hard in the original thread.
