Apple probably paid them to make it exclusive so they can feed peoples' delusions that having an Iphone/Ipad/Mac/whatever somehow makes them cooler than the rest of us. It doesn't. Something funny, though, is that Apple apparently ended the Mac VS PC ads precisely because they realized that viewers thought the Mac guy was an arrogant jackass. Make of that what you will.

FFS in this thread again with the equating of brands and user mentality. Just stop: you sound like a petulant asshole.Retrodude wrote:Apple probably paid them to make it exclusive so they can feed peoples' delusions that having an Iphone/Ipad/Mac/whatever somehow makes them cooler than the rest of us. I have met A LOT of Apple users that were/are snide, condecending jerks. That does tend to color my perception of the brand somewhat. I'm sorry if that offends you, but I call 'em as I see 'em.

Ah yeah, I hate condescending people.Retrodude wrote:I have met A LOT of Apple users that were/are snide, condecending jerks. That does tend to color my perception of the brand somewhat. I'm sorry if that offends you, but I call 'em as I see 'em.
You spelled "condescending" wrong, genius.
Also, the irony must burn like a thousand suns.
I'm not sure what's going on anymore.

You've met condescending Apple users, therefore Apple makes marketing decisions in order to keep its user condescending? I hate Apple as much as the next rational person here, but you don't call it like you see it. You call it like you imagine it to be. Dave's 100% right.Retrodude wrote:I have met A LOT of Apple users that were/are snide, condecending jerks. That does tend to color my perception of the brand somewhat. Whoa, Ds! Calm down, you don't want to stretch out your black turtleneck with all that anger. Just remember, What Would Steve Jobs Do? I mean, besides being dead and all...dsheinem wrote:Ah yeah, I hate condescending people.Retrodude wrote:I have met A LOT of Apple users that were/are snide, condecending jerks.
