I'll give this a try ... though, I'm not sure how well I can stick to "classics".

Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
Metroid: Prime
Super Mario Bros. 2
Onimusha 2
Metal Gear Solid 2

... and I'm not sure ... I think I'll update this later. (Geez, all this stuff is not remotely old)

I'm gonna be ashamed to list some of these but this seems like an interesting challenge.

1) Contra (NES) *No Konami Code!*
2) Terranigma (SNES)
3) Tactics Ogre: Let us all Cling Together (SNES)
4) Mischief Makers (N64)
5) Banjo Kazooie (N64)
6) Albert Odyssey (Saturn)
7) Shining Force 3 (Saturn)
8 ) Brave Fencer: Musashi (PS1)
9) Legend of Mana (PS1)
10) Shenmue (Dreamcast)

Some of these games I've started but never finished (Banjo Kazooie and Legend of Mana) but I will restart them fresh from scratch, even if I still have a save available. I just hope I didn't load too heavy on lengthy RPGs.

I have no idea. Any have suggestions? I do have an epic PC now... kind of tempted to get Witcher 2. Does it work well with a gamepad setup? I still am not too huge on 3rd person games with the keyboard haha...

I know for sure I'll be running through Stalker COP, and then revisiting Stalker with the Complete mod sometime. I also think I might hit up Bioshock again on PC... after finishing up Infinite I tried going back to the 360 version of 1 and wow, the framerate and stuff. I imagine it can look and run a fair bit better on the PC.

I've stalled Devil May Cry 3 HD a bit off and on lately too, I really need to finish that up. And I think about jumping back into Dark Souls, but I don't know if I can pull that off. I got super far, but probably haven't touched it in a year...

Will try again. Only got through 5 of my 10 last year.

Last Years list:
1. Sly Cooper (PS3 port)
2. Altered Beast (Master System)
3. Real Myst (PC)
4. Star Fox 64 (N64)
5. Sonic CD (Gamecube port)
6. Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars (PC)
7. Another World (PC)
8. The Legend of Zelda (NES)
9. Tomb Raider: Anniversary (PC)
10. Serious Sam: The First Encounter (PC)
I'm thinking this year I will do:

1. Super Mario Land 2
2. Mega Man 7
3. Dune 2000 (maybe)
4. Real Myst
5. Sly Cooper
6. Ultima
7. Final Fantasy I (From Dawn of Souls)
8. Blood (One Unit Whole Blood)

Yeah, not classics(not even close in many cases), but I need to get through them all.

I think you could fairly easily call these ones classics at some level.

Well to be fair, they've been out around a decade at least.

I noticed Real Myst came back for a second go. Not sure I've heard of that, is it some sort of Myst remake? As for game 10, are none of the other unbeaten games from last year candidates? They seemed like good choices.

Also, what is Blood? Not sure I've heard of that.

No need to feel ashamed, the whole point is to finally get around to beating those classics. And my, that is a good list. I played Banjo as one of my list 2 years back and loved it.

This is awesome, and will hopefully push me to get through some of my backlog.

Doing a bit of brainstorming at work, this is what I've come up with:

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (Dreamcast)
Rocket Knight Adventures (Genesis)
Mother 2 (SNES) & Mother 3 (GBA)
Parodius (Saturn)
Fantasy Zone (???)
Super Metroid (SNES)
Blaster Master (NES)

The list is obviously not finalized, but it's a start.
I consider Summer June - August, so that's my time frame to get these done.

Stressful night at work, and this is all I've come up with so far.
It's my weekend, so I'll go ahead and post these then focus on adding more later on. My biggest problem is that I want to play these on the original consoles, but as I've just started collecting again, I don't own many of them. This means I'll probably end up emulating (Like Fantasy Zone for TG16).

I could also consider anything emulated on DC... I'll need to really brainstorm a bit.

To be clear, I've made it to the end of Earthbound(Mother 2), but never actually FINISHED the game. Haven't even touched Mother 3 yet, but I have the Fan Translation downloaded and ready to go on my PSP.

For what it's worth, the TG16 port of Fantasy Zone might be more accurate to the arcade game, but I personally like the Master System version better.

Also, sweet, someone else to suffer through Blaster Master with me! Not that it's bad, but it sure ain't easy.
